Why they suck? They're a goddamn awards show. What awards show doesn't suck? Following that logic, an awards show taken to the lowest common denominator = ultimate suck.

It's not really decapitation if the rest of the body goes to pieces at the same time.

The weapons aren't in the game yet, so glitch or you were imagining it.

You're a moron. Not only does "common sense" not indicate something like this would be true, common sense is damn frequently wrong, which is why empirical testing is done.

37. Re: Team Fortress 2 Crafting Announced Dec 14, 2009, 00:44 Zyrxil

L4D1 wasn't made by Valve. They basically just bought it and finished it up. Had it been their baby, I'm sure they would have supported it better than they did, but now, this time around, they have their own game to support with L4D2. They felt they could do a better L4D, so they decided to do a sequel, Valve-style. I'm sure it will receive better support than the last one.

I see this bandied about often as some kind of reason L4D2 would be better...which is just completely wrong. Valve didn't buy L4D, they bought Turtle Rock Studios in its entirety, and the Turtle Rock people finished up the game after being bought/renamed to Valve South. Those same people also made L4D2. It's still a bunch of not-Valvers in all but name. It's just a different studio mindset.

Oh my god, alternate weapons and a sense of humor about how they announce them! Quick, someone better nuke them before they provide more free updates!

From the guys who made the freeware platformers Knytt and Within a Deep Forest. Plays a lot like Knytt with better graphics and a few additional mechanics. In fact, I wonder if it's maybe a bit too difficult for people who haven't played all the free Nifflas scenarios and aren't as practiced with doing consecutive walljumps with accurate timing.

Soldier requires a lower skill threshhold to be effective. Demos are however, more powerful.

I thought that was just me. God, I loved TFC and I totally missed the life cycle of TF2 :(
There's still plenty of people playing, but it may be the wrong season. I personally haven't played in two months because of the glut of holiday game releases.

How the hell do you select your servers? I've heard of fake playercounts, but when I want to play but it's too early for my usual servers to be populated, I do a full server list refresh, sort by ping, and join the first one with more than 12 players on. Running into that problem, so consistently, for a month, that's just mind-boggling.

Mirror's Edge didn't truly click for me until I got serious with the time trials. Before that, the single player was good, but it didn't require nearly as much precision and skill. But when each standing on the leaderboards are separated by hundreths of seconds, you really have to master the moves and watch ghost runs to learn tricks you never knew about, which in turn makes you feel as acrobatic as it's possible for a video game to make you feel.

Stranglehold 2? There doesn't seem to be that many choices when Hong Kong is in the equation.

It'll have to be pretty damn meaty, unlike the stuff that was included with the game but sold to people who bought used at ridiculous prices.

It's a reroll of the previous patch including 3 non-ingame related issues:

# fixed an issue with Vista and Windows 7 Game for Windows Explorer

# fixed an issue with Dragon Age and Windows Game Explorer

# updated Visual C runtime libraries

Those who pre-ordered in the UK before the worldwide launch have been given access to the game.

Nice change from the usual waiting for retail situation.
