Interesting... Why has editing been disabled? Blue, if you did that on purpose, isn't it slightly ironic? You want free release of demos, but people can't be free to change what they say?

make it exclusive for a week
That's exactly why I have to disagree with Blue and everyone else who thinks this is a plausible argument. Your own example is great: it's a WEEK. Seven days. A single week. Is it really worth getting worked up over all this when all you have to do is go find something else to do for that short of a time?
Yes, granted it might be a longer period, but so what? There's other things to life than a ridiculous demo, a teeny tiny portion of a full game.
As for the "but then every game site's going to become pay," no, they won't. That's a ridiculous notion that I'm pretty darn sure will never come to pass. Look at porn: 99% of the stuff you'd find online you have to pay for, but there are ALWAYS free places.
I said it before, and again: You guys need some patience and other interests, and learn to pick your battles. This isn't even remotely worth getting up in arms about. (Though it is making for an interesting thread. :))

Exactly, it's all about practicing patience and/or self-discipline. So you can't have something "right now" along with everyone else? Wait, and you'll get it. How is this so hard?

The only stance I have on it after briefly reading the post and some of the replies on this page is: so what? All this hoopla is over *demos*? Wait a bit (days, weeks, months, whatever) and then you, your neighbor, and everyone else can try it out. If it's literally exclusive and will never be released to any but one site, how does that affect any of you guys? So you won't buy the game... It's only hurting the people making it. In the end, all we're taking about are demos, not the final retail product. If you're so concerned with how it plays, that's what review are for. I'm sorry, but all this just seems like a whole lot of impatience and fist-pounding for no really good reason.

Re: BEST LOGO EVAR! |

Eh...? It's not any different from most of the other logos... Someone/thing popping out of the predefined logo space on the left, and the rest a blur. I'd actually rate it as one of the worst (like last week's) simply because it obliterates the site name, for an effect that isn't all that great in the first place.

This OotB sounds awfully familiar... I knew how it was going to end (about "they're trying to get me") a few words into the first sentence... Wasn't there another "spider conspiracy" OotB last year, worded almost exactly the same? o_O

But seriously, I think back to playing Dragon Warrior on the NES, the first few Wizardry's, or Might & Magic 1 and am just floored at how people can look at these shots and called them ho-hum. I would've had a giggle attack as a ten-year-old back then being able to run around realistic looking forests like in the shots.

Hey Blue, do you think it's time to implement some sort of "sigs can't be more than X lines" rule? That down there's just plain obnoxious.

The post somewhere below about "only sites selling things make money" got me thinking. Doesn't Blue's already sell tshirts? What about coffee mugs, stickers, posters, other types of clothing like hats or hoodies, heck even slinkies with the BN logo on them? Might be worth looking into, dunno.
(EDIT-) Look like Alex beat me to it. Well, that's two people that think it's a good idea.

Not true! My grandparents, who live in central Michigan, owned a White's metal detector store for decades and always had tons of historical artifacts they'd found to sell at the shop. Bullets, coins, medals, all sorts of stuff. It's not a waste of time, you just have to know where to look.

I'm just patiently waiting for the day MS screws up big time and releases a patch that makes every computer not boot..oops, sorry, can't remove it...gotta FFR.
Or you could use said patience, wait a few days or weeks until people are sure the patch is safe, and then install it. That way you don't have to reformat or make stale MS jokes!
