I'm looking forward to the game, but that video was horrible. Makes the environment look bland and over-simple, and the gameplay lacks any excitement or "oomph". m19

No demo. a visit to E3 informed me of that one. Rarely will you ever see a demo for a RPG anymore. Yeah, I figured as much, but wanted to ask anyway. Is there a demo of NW2 expected? It may sound silly, but given the high system req's I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to make sure my computer can handle it. m19

Dude.. you are sooo jaded! Nice try, but not quite. I'm waiting for them to fix the demo, or maybe I'll try out the game once it hits bargain status-- being frustrated with a glitch and wishing it would be fixed (and actually wanting it to be) is far different from trashing something before it's even released, and all the other stuff people have been saying. m19 This comment was edited on Oct 9, 18:55.

I downloaded and installed a DirectX update (marked August, I believe) and the demo STILL wouldn't run. Grr. m19

Hmm... Nope, I updated to the latest Dx (9c from August) and the most recent official video drivers with no luck, still get the error. m19

Has anyone else had an issue with the demo starting to load, then crashing with a DirectX error message? I'm pretty sure I've got the latest installed (9c, right?) but I've tried restarting a few times and get the error every time. m19 This comment was edited on Oct 6, 23:08.
