I wonder if they'll use Kickstarter again to help fund it.. It wouldn't bother me if they did.

Can't remember if they've said it will be coop like BG, BG2, IWD and IWD 2. If it wasn't in the plans sure hope it's a stretch goal, maybe 2.5 million? Though if it in anyway would slow them down, disregard this comment.
They're supposed to announce a revision to the $2.2 mil goal on Monday and maybe even some additional goals so I'm interested to see what that will be.

3D printers have been really popular on Kickstarter for some reason. I have never backed one but I see them all the time and most seem to get funded. I didn't think they were so popular before.

I would like to have one someday though. It would be cool to be able to print out random objects or parts I need to fix something that broke.

I don't know - it's just me maybe - but the original idea of kickstarter has turned into "preorders" and "large donations" to established properties...
That may be true in some cases but a lot of cool products or games may never have made it without Kickstarter.

That really shouldn't bottleneck the way it does... According to the test, the GTX560 runs right around 60fps? Have you updated to the lastest drivers? They increase BL2 performance quite a bit.

How does it run on your system, Creston? Just curious since you also got the 660 Ti as I do now. I haven't completely finished building my new rig yet but it's close! Then I will have to find someone with a fast ISP so that I can download the game.. Uneasy

Speaking of Kickstarter, Project Eternity is about to hit it's $1.8 million tier! I like what I hear in their updates about the game and really hope they get past $2.2 million because it adds more to the game world.

Another game on Kickstarter that looks promising is Blackspace.

Wife and I are getting the Galaxy III - after the kindle fire experience, I am all about android devices, couldn't be happier. Assuming I can also hook both of them up to my amazon account and will have 5 devices on the accont (the max).
Bah, you might as well wait for the Galaxy S IV.. it should be out in a few months or so.

Yeah, I too live in a 'rural' area where cable and DSL aren't available. I plan on moving later this year though and I'll be sure to find a location that has cable.

I might be in this boat, as well. I like Apple's hardware and I think they've nailed the form factor with the iPhone. The screen quality is excellent and the size is ideal. However, I use Google apps, Maps, Youtube, etc... more than any other. grrr....
There is already a new YouTube app out and I'm sure Google will be releasing their own Google Maps app too since Apple stopped using it. I'm waiting for a new jailbreak before I upgrade to iOS6 though.

Yeah, I'm sure it'll pick up more towards the end like others have. The latest update #4 is cool too with the digital tiers and DRM-free option. I'm also happy that they added beta access to the $140 tier because that's the one I changed to.

I already had one or two of these games but I like to support them so I paid some and just put a little more to charity than usual.

1. Re: Wrong Number: Why Phone Companies Overcharge For Data Sep 17, 2012, 08:33 John

That kinda makes sense and would explain my situation. I have used two different data-tracking apps/tweaks on my phone and they always show less data usage than AT&T. I wish there was a way to prove that they overcharge and go after them for it.

I wonder how they disguised the data as DNS requests...

Also, 62 folks shelled out $1000 each (!), and on the high end, 10 folks brought in a total of $50,000!

Pretty damn amazing!
It sure is! Some folks got a lot of money to put towards this game. I wonder how many of them are just enthusiastic gamers with money and how many are other devs helping out.

Edit: Just noticed they added stretch goals and they sound pretty good! They're even adding more $5k tiers since they sold out which is wild. The "digital only" tiers will probably be popular too. I think the $2mil goal would be cool.
