If it was a 1st or even 3rd person shooter then I would be more interested. I can't feel the 'horror' much in these top-down view games.

Not defending, but it actually does make sense....would you buy a boat if you never went to a lake or lived on a lake? Peple forget these aren't things we NEED, they are entertainment.

It's a dumb analogy either way, their DRM and connection check are totally separate from the act of playing videogames. They didn't 'build an online machine', they built a machine and then purposely inserted some DRM.
Exactly. They are pretty much saying if you don't have broadband internet, you shouldn't buy the new Xbox. With my Xbox 360 I would bring it to a friends house occasionally to get updates, but if I have to connect every day they can keep it!

Yeah, I don't know why someone would want a curved tv.. especially curved inwards like that. Unless you're planning to sit really close to it.

And for that much it better be Ultra HD (2160p).

Ah yes, the final big climatic Fuck You from Blizzard to PC gamers everywhere. Not only they make the console version a lot better than the PC version by removing the AH and allowing it to be played offline, it makes everyone who bought D3 feel as betatesters for the console version.
That's good they removed the online connection requirement but not for those who bought the PC version. I still haven't finished it because of that.

Probably so but then it wouldn't be the same. It looks good and I typically like these odd-world adventure games so I backed it a few days ago.

This isn't a game but I am also following The Buccaneer 3D printer.

Speaking of 3D printers, I found one on Kickstarter that is pretty cool! I've wanted a 3D printer for years but they have always been too expensive. The Buccaneer is almost too good to be true, however it sounds like they (Pirate3D) know what they're doing.

I like that it comes completely assembled and ready to go along with easy to use software to create 3D objects. The software looks pretty simple now but I'm sure they will add more features and I have Solidworks that I can use if I want to create something more complex.

GeForce 590. They have not put out a game yet that I cannot run @ 1920x1200 with maximum settings and good fps. Hell, the two 580Ms in my laptop can do 1080p the same way with slightly lower fps. They're just not pushing the envelope like they used to.

(I have not tried MEtro Last Light on my laptop yet, though. Only the desktop.)
You can run Metro on your desktop with a 590 at max settings? What do you consider "good fps"?

Very cool. I really liked the first one, which I played through twice. I just hope the improve the inventory system a bit more, but I am definitely looking forward to this.

I hope the movement is smoother. I don't know what it was but it seemed kind of mechanical to me unlike most other shooters. I thought it may have been my system chugging at high detail settings but even when I turned them down it was the same.

Dang, that's the second PS3 update I've heard to cause problems with the console. A friend of mine had his Bluray player stop working after a previous update. I think I'll hold off until the next version to update mine..

While I'm no fan of Comcast, I believe they have the right to show you your data usage if you are approaching the cap. How else would they show you this info, or alert you of violating the six strike rule if they don't redirect your traffic?
I didn't think Comcast had data limits.

Yeah, I know more adults who play video games than kids/teens.. and a couple of them are married with children themselves. I'm 33 and don't see myself giving up games anytime soon. Even my gf is into them.

Yeah, I must agree Apple does make solid phones. I don't like big bulky cases and so I always use the thin bumper cases on my iPhones and never had one break from dropping it. I've had a few solid drops on concrete before too.. One time I tried catching it as it was falling and my hand bumped the phone and made it go down even harder! My iPhone 3G, 4, and 4S all still work fine although the battery in the 3G doesn't last long anymore.

I hope Apple adds more features and does some major overhaul of the OS though because I am ready for a change. Being able to Jailbreak and apply themes is cool though.

I hope they give games options in world looking. I would like to be able to put games back into a mouselook mode when I don't want to use my head for tracking. If they go full VR and no mouselook option, then I may not be interested. My first step for VR was just getting full screen immersion.
I'm thinking the keyboard and mouse will still be used like normal, while the VR will allow you to look around in the direction that the cursor is pointing. I haven't really looked into it though but that would be cool.

When is Project Eternity due? In fact, has any Kickstarted game been released yet? When is the first one set for release? Does anyone know?
Project Eternity is supposed to be out in 2014 I believe. Wasteland 2 should be out late this year. DFA is supposed to be out pretty soon but I haven't watched their latest video update yet which should explain where they are with it.
