Regarding OR...

How well does it work if you wear glasses? All the 3D devices I have tried are monster pains in the ass if you already wear glasses.
I heard they have several different eyepieces to accommodate for people with glasses. I wear glasses too so that is something I am curious about, but I am nearsighted so I wonder if I will even need to wear glasses with OR..? I can see objects up to about 6" away clearly w/o glasses. Hmm... Inquisitive

I love the concept and the ideas, I just don't think that they can pull it off for a million bucks. It seems like the kind of thing that really needs 10 million bucks at the least to be really done right.
They just need to ask Chris Roberts how to do it then! He passed $10mil and is still getting more!

I was even hoping to flip the X180 to help pay for the PS4, but the market interest is generally lacking at the moment.

You could always flip your "day-one PS4" to pay for your Xboner and several games.

Yeah, it looks like there may be plenty of new Xboxs around this year with the lack of interest!

I have to wonder if MS will do a last minute price cut to $399. Eating an extra $100 on the console would be painful, but no more so than the competition running away with the show...

That would be the ultimate crow sandwich for them to eat. After 8+ months of "We think we deliver enough value to justify 500 bucks" for them to then have to lower it would be the height of comedy.
Well if they would get rid of the mandatory Kinect and drop the price by $100 they might do OK. As of now I have no interest in it even though I used my X360 more than my PS3.

Wow, where do they keep getting money from?? I backed this on KS but I'm surprised they are still making millions without any kind of advertising that I know of. I just hope they use some of that money to improve/expand the SP portion of the game.

I like how their own website can't even get the facts right. They claim Titanfall and Spark as Xbox exclusives yet both of these are coming to PC.

They consider it all the same since it's still MS.. It would be nice though if all Xbox One 'exclusive' games also were available on the PC. That way there would be no reason at all for me to get One since I prefer PC gaming anyways!

There's a big difference between digital distribution on consoles and the PC.

One is probably cost. We always wondered id digital would bring costs down. We always wondered if cheaper games sold enough more to make it cheaper for the buyer and more profitable for the dev. I think in both cases it came true. Console world with the additional console license and arrogance... probably can't risk it.
The thing that sucks though is that many new PC games on Steam cost the same as the console version which is stupid. It's usually the big name games but still.. At least prices for PC games drop faster and seem to go on sale more often.

If it was a 1st or even 3rd person shooter then I would be more interested. I can't feel the 'horror' much in these top-down view games.

Not defending, but it actually does make sense....would you buy a boat if you never went to a lake or lived on a lake? Peple forget these aren't things we NEED, they are entertainment.

It's a dumb analogy either way, their DRM and connection check are totally separate from the act of playing videogames. They didn't 'build an online machine', they built a machine and then purposely inserted some DRM.
Exactly. They are pretty much saying if you don't have broadband internet, you shouldn't buy the new Xbox. With my Xbox 360 I would bring it to a friends house occasionally to get updates, but if I have to connect every day they can keep it!

Yeah, I don't know why someone would want a curved tv.. especially curved inwards like that. Unless you're planning to sit really close to it.

And for that much it better be Ultra HD (2160p).

Ah yes, the final big climatic Fuck You from Blizzard to PC gamers everywhere. Not only they make the console version a lot better than the PC version by removing the AH and allowing it to be played offline, it makes everyone who bought D3 feel as betatesters for the console version.
That's good they removed the online connection requirement but not for those who bought the PC version. I still haven't finished it because of that.

Probably so but then it wouldn't be the same. It looks good and I typically like these odd-world adventure games so I backed it a few days ago.

This isn't a game but I am also following The Buccaneer 3D printer.

Speaking of 3D printers, I found one on Kickstarter that is pretty cool! I've wanted a 3D printer for years but they have always been too expensive. The Buccaneer is almost too good to be true, however it sounds like they (Pirate3D) know what they're doing.

I like that it comes completely assembled and ready to go along with easy to use software to create 3D objects. The software looks pretty simple now but I'm sure they will add more features and I have Solidworks that I can use if I want to create something more complex.

GeForce 590. They have not put out a game yet that I cannot run @ 1920x1200 with maximum settings and good fps. Hell, the two 580Ms in my laptop can do 1080p the same way with slightly lower fps. They're just not pushing the envelope like they used to.

(I have not tried MEtro Last Light on my laptop yet, though. Only the desktop.)
You can run Metro on your desktop with a 590 at max settings? What do you consider "good fps"?

Very cool. I really liked the first one, which I played through twice. I just hope the improve the inventory system a bit more, but I am definitely looking forward to this.

I hope the movement is smoother. I don't know what it was but it seemed kind of mechanical to me unlike most other shooters. I thought it may have been my system chugging at high detail settings but even when I turned them down it was the same.

Dang, that's the second PS3 update I've heard to cause problems with the console. A friend of mine had his Bluray player stop working after a previous update. I think I'll hold off until the next version to update mine..
