Wife and I went to see Lords of Salem......terrible.....terrible.....terrible....terrible.
I get it, it is an homage to terrible black and white flicks that he likes, but wow. Glad we went to the matinee. |

Cutter wrote on Apr 23, 2013, 11:14: You've never heard the word furnace? Cereal? A fiery furnace? We call them furnaces too. In fact I don't even know what you'd call them otherwise. We use the phrase "heater" here as well. Hence calling a "heat and air guy" as opposed to a "plumber" that Blue mentioned the other day.
Also we have "pop" here and not "soda". It is because he has a boiler and iron/metal units in each room I assume. I have central air and a gas furnace with vents. I assumed Blue had the same, but it now makes sense that a plumber was there instead of an HVAC person.
Not a fan of boilers, we had one blow in a room once in the house I was renting at the time. HUGE MESS!
Full circle.
Like I said, I replaced mine a couple months ago (furnace) that was about 13 or so years old. I got the 98.5% unit, and it heats the house with 1/2 the gas in 1/2 the time. Technology is amazin. |

That's a sore point. I've had DirecTV for over 12 years, and my loyalty is rewarded by them only offering their cool new DVRs to new customers. Grrr. Man a 12 year account without interruption is awesome retention currency. Call up, ask to cancel your account and they will forward you to retentions who will definitely get you a subsidized DVR to stick around. Yup. I am on my 2 years next month, and I will be calling to "cancel" to get a lower price on their most expensive package setup. |

Mean while, I'm playing Homefront. That game is FUCKING HORRIBLE. Why does it have any fans, why did it get 70/100 metacritic. This game is truly the most lazy, horrible thing I have played :|, to celebrate Earth day, let's remove this thing (Homefront) from the Planet.
[Edit] The Internet: A warning from 50 years in the future LMAO, that is awesome... and I'm a web developer
what have we done. Yeah, I started it on the Xbox a few weeks back. Miserable. I mean, they did nothing right. Even the presentation - a too long movie to start the game. The loading icon is a CD spinning rather than something special to the game. Subtitles are in the exact middle of the screen and sometimes disappear after a second and several seconds before they're spoken.
The gameplay itself? I had to die about 20 times in one of the first fights. They kept throwing grenades at me, but there was no way to tell how close they were to me or if they'd damage me at all.
I made it to the part where they mention the something or other, then a giant vehicle comes smashing through the house I was in. It was supposed to be a big event, I guess, but I started firing thinking it was the enemy, then realized I was supposed to control it, which was super boring.
Out the game went. I've put 33 hours into XCOM on the PC since. No one complained about the long ass intro to Half Life. Loading is actually part of the story, articles and what not - maybe that is an xbox issue. Subs were fine on PC. Yea some parts are confusing, but you have saves everywhere, so not a big deal.
I actually enjoyed it, not really defending it, but I thought it was a decent linear SP shooter. |

Closed Captioning Fail.
Well, there are 2 types of technologies for CC, one is like your phone that types what it thinks it hears, and the other is someone actually typing.
I once had a client who owned a studio that would CC movies and tv shows. Was pretty damn cool to watch and chat with the people that worked there. They got to see their favorite tv shows weeks in advance to CC them. |

If you're DVR'ing it, you're likely not watching it the evening it airs. If you aren't watching it the evening it airs, but you likely will in the next few weeks, just use the on-demand features provided.
Or go with an XBMC option on the main screen. If I remember correctly, he has DirecTV, and yes, most primetimes hows are on Demand. |

I keep isaac wiki open with shift-tab for a steam browser and if i dont know what it is i look it up. doing that leads to some pretty sweet builds. also do yourself a favor and use Cain to increase chance of good item drops. What do you mean "work on a furnace"? the plumber runs the gas line the heating guy runs the vents and drops the furnace where it has to go. The manufacturer sets the limits and usually don't need to be changed. A electrician hooks up the power, thermostats ect.. Outside of furnaces Electricians also install electric motors, switches, relays... all of which are out of the scope of work for plumbers and tin bashers and those are the parts that go 90% of the time. But go ahead, call whoever you want... one time my car wouldn't start, the tow truck driver I called had a look and found the alternator lead had come loose, so anything is possible. Well, considering I JUST HAD A NEW FURNACE PUT IN, yea, I probably don't know what I am talking about.... |

And that really pisses me off seeing as my ancestors got here in the beginning of the 1700s and I do have distant relations in the US - in Mass. at that! I have skills the US needs. I know the language, the culture, the customs, the history, and already have plenty of friends throughout. Scored 86% on the citizenship exam. So why is it so difficult then? I guess if they're going to naturalize the illegals I won't need to immigrate, will I? Just cross over illegally and apply. Then again so will 100 million other people and who'll want to be in the US then? Have a very close friend of mine who is a cop who has an Irish wife sho can't get citizenship....she has to go back every yar (364 day rule) and can't get work here in Minnesota.
