Plea deal for woman with 'stand your ground' defense.

If she'd shot and killed him, she'd be free. Instead she shot to warn him, and she goes to jail. That's pretty messed up.

I'm not a fan of Stand Your Ground, but the reason I sent it in was the outrageous minimum 20 year sentence with no option for parole...for firing a shot into a wall. That's so fucked up I don't know where to begin...

I'm really glad she's (eventually, soon) going home.

Didn't read the article, just responding to your comment. Stand your ground is a very dangerous swath of law. It is damn near always best to retreat and leave. There are times when that isn't possible, and I think that is probably what the law makers intended to ink the law for.

Castle Doctrine on the other hand - wish more states would put that into law. The law here in Minnesota is so asinine. The law states you must flee your own home. Unreal. No one has ever been charged, but it is on the books as basically saying if you can leave your home during an attack, you should.....

I am to the point where I think I will pay someone next year to do the cleanup - I just don't care and my time is more important.

Thinking about you today Blue, as I prepare to rehome my youngest pup. He is going to go live on a farm with hundreds of acres with a dog that he was friends with before that dog moved there. They are both very very high energy dogs. I hate to split up my clan and I would not do it if his buddy wasn't already there.

Time has gone by very fast, and I hope that has helped as historically this is a rough week for you and your family.

Thoughts your way.

Guys. I need some suggestions on what to watch (series). Ive just finished Boardwalk Empire and I have run out of ideas.

Why not look to the past? I watch a ton of old series and flicks all the time.

I asked this a while back....

That GTA video was so awesome! I was LOL-ing at the firefighter just standing on the corner watching after his firetruck exploded.

Looks like a traffic stop gone bad there at the intersection, then people just freak out when gun shots go off. Those are awesome.

One of my funniest moments was just standing on a sidewalk, probably messing with my phone or something stupid, and I got run down during a chase. The bad guy had driven up on the sidewalk since the road was full of cars. Bounced off the bad guy car (me and 3-4 others) and the cop car. Dead. Was worth the death - wish I had the ability to record......would have been great. (I suppose with ps4 and xbone you have a "capture the last 2 minutes" or whatever right?) Mine was on 360.

I am playing again on the ps3. This is such an amazing game. I have zero bad to say about this game.

/I probably would have helped that along with some stickys.

Just make all tournament machines remote VMs. Then you control the hardware and software and the only advantage is ping. Like the old days.

Never understood why they didn't do this. And at LAN events, I would not give them access to the machine, just audio jack plug ins and the machine is not accessible.....I hope they all die in a fire and removed from competitive play forever.

even if you do somehow magically detect all the cheats you still have hardware manufactures offering up cheats to sell their products.

http://www.asus.com/microsite/2013/lcd/GamingMonitors/fast.htm

ASUS VG Gaming Series monitors feature the GamePlus hotkey with crosshair overlay and timer functions. Select from four different crosshairs to suit your gaming environment, and keep track of spawn and build times with the on-screen timer.

you can program a crosshair to show up on the monitor.

There's actually a hardware device available that draws a laser dot on the screen.

http://www.amazon.com/Airdrop-Gaming-HSD-1619-HipShotDot/dp/B00GV0LR64

As I mentioned in my other post, software solutions abound (VOIP overlays).

No diff than people putting a dot in the middle of their screen (know people who have done it). And most just put a timer next to monitor, sometimes multiple. Over time you have an internal timer.

From over a month ago:
In an interview with Stevivor from earlier this month, Sledgehammer Games’ Michael Condrey answered the question of whether or not dedicated servers will be supported by Advanced Warfare.

“We’ve got some announcements coming. Yes, we will be supporting dedicated servers and there will be announcements soon on which providers and platforms. I can’t answer just yet, but you can let your community know that it’s coming,” he said.

By far the dumbest thing I've done this year is buy this game. Myself and a large number of people on the forums have high end systems and can't get this game to even run. No help or any suggestions or anything from Activision or Steam.

+1

Game ran great for the first 48 hours, was having a lot of fun, great connections. Now it is almost impossible to find a game that runs well and doesn't become and rubberbanding lagfest.

After a couple days of running great, I had to turn off shadows and every other nice bell and whistle and I still have tons of graphical problems. The game is very choppy.

No dedicated servers even though they said they would. I skipped Ghosts, I should have skipped this one.....jokes on me. Never again.
