/troll warning on
In 2008, 17,030 women obtained abortions in Connecticut /troll warning off
That is great that soldier is standing there, but he looks unarmed. Looks like another victim to me, standing in front of a soft target.
I am not for banning anything. Again it is all about control. But ban away, it will get out of control and do nothing.
What happens when this is done with a shotgun and a revolver? Does that eliminate the argument they currently have? The whole thing is just silly.
There are crazies out there and states have taken away mental institutions as they were dens of abuse and experiments. So now crazies are everywhere and an adult cannot be forced to take medication. They harm people, and there is nothing anyone can do about it....
26 people died, and it sucks, it really does. Although tragic and a shock to your system, consider the following. How many smoking related deaths were on that day? How many traffic fatalities? How many abortions? How many malnourished children died? How many homeless died? How many people die in fires everyday? Every minute there is a house fire. How many rapes on that day by those previously incarcerated for a sex crime?
There are a lot of shitty things that hapen. This is sensational in a rich area (check city data, this isn't the ghetto) and a true tragic event. What is going to be done? The most sensational knee jerk reaction possible so everyone can pat themselves on the back like they made a difference. Then they will go back to doing whatever bullshit they do on a normal basis until it happens again or something more sensational happens.
Just disgusted with some of the conversations people are having, what is on tv, the trash and insults people throw around, the finger pointing.....our society has allowed this to happen over the past 20-30 years. Not just in the case, but violent offenders are reoffending, and the system doens't seem to care.

If Ubsioft obtains their old properties they will saddle all of the games with the Uplay crap. It's not horrible; certainly better than Origin and GFWL, but in a world with Steam it's utterly pointless. I've got to disagree with you there, unlike Uplay, Origin and GFWL don't feature always online DRM nonsense.
It sucks to ever be saddled with a required distribution platform/DRM package, but to me it's the always online trend that's truly intolerable. huh? You can't play BF3 without Origin..... |

Sent out 2 games quick to try out mobile device. Kind of a nice app. Dog is doing good. He had 3-4 in a row, which is his worst so far. Probably bring him in tomorrow as they are due for other shots and checkup, etc. Poor little guy. He flipped out pretty bad. I went to grab something to clean up the urine (he was standing in the kitchen and shaking, legs out like a new calf or horse) and he freaked when I walked away and ran at me during seizure and crashed hard in the kitchen, which then freaked me out even more. So we sat together on the kitchen floor for about half an hour...
Anyway. Sent out 2 games, more to come. Thanks to Cutter and Sepharo. I never expect any games and so it is pretty awesome when I get those little notifications. Enjoy everyone!

Where's xXBatmanXx? xXBatmanXx, if you finish all the unfinished games you own on Steam by the end of the year (2012), I'll gift you a game of your choice from the Steam Holiday Sale.

It certainly stands to reason that someone who would claim that people who are upset that 100km2 maps are actually around 50km2 and 100-player servers max out at 50 players are "misreading" has definite problems with honesty, so I admit it's pretty hard to lend any credence to his claim. They go up to 100. I have been on servers with 90+. You dont' want that many, to many people looking to killl you. I have had more fun on servers with less than 20... Fair enough. At the time he made the video at least, Total Biscuit verified that the max server number was 50. More concerning to me, however, was the answer that Titov gave in response to the questions about why the store page did not reflect the current realities of the game in the interviews was... "strange" I guess is the right word.
At any rate, if I was to play the game at some point (or its "inspiration" DayZ) I'd prefer to play on a server with a max population of one. I don't like playing games with people, especially considering how as soon as you have they something they don't they'll just kill you and take it. Then I look fotrward to (as I am sure you will) our password protected server for BN when it is avail. We will have fun. |

Overon wrote on Dec 19, 2012, 20:12: What shocks me is that this exposes a steam quality control problem. It casts a shadow of doubt on the veracity of what is written on steam game pages. Well, I don't see $15 for a game as a waste. If it was $30-$60, I would probably have asked for a refund, but I am not a fan of asking for refunds. There are PLENTY of resources out there to find out what a game is like before hitting PURCHASE. To be honest, I NEVER read that stuff. I watch videos, look at screens, then go watch a gameplay vid on youtube, etc. Everything is buyer beware.....
oh well. Enjoying it. 3 hours in. Have done probably 10 characters. Have 2 I am waiting to respawn that have almost 100xp each. Haven't done a respawn yet, we will see how that goes.

eh, either way I don't care. Got it for 12.00. It is what it is. I didn't expect anything special - just happy it works 100x better performance than DayZ. Looks like they update the game almost everyday.
When standalone DayZ comes out - i will get that as well. |

That is the loading screen. Is that also the title screen?
And does anyone know if its changed recently? THere isn't a title screen, you go right into your characters screen.
I like the game, it is fun. It works (unlike DayZ) and it isn't on Arma's crappy engine.
When the server rentals come out, I will be getting one to share here, but it will be limited, as I am not a fan of the bandit killing. I would rather play with friends and explore, etc. I am tired of just finding something and having someone come along and shoot me in the head for no reason. There needs to be an indication that they aren't friendly....so I can kill them first. |
