Game is dead unless you like Vanilla DM....
I get into Domination and Mosh Pit just fine, within seconds. But yes...all other modes besides TDM Dom and Mosh are empty for me. Kill Confirmed occasionally has players, too.

All this "game is dead" nonsense is simply nonsense.

I tried to get into games a couple months ago and couldn't - I can't imagine it is better.....and like the previous poster said, if you offer multiple modes, and only 1-3 of them are used, the game is dead. It only has a peak of 10,000 players a day. It isn't even in the top 50 on Steam.

I really like DayZ. Despite what you hear it's quite playable and has been for some time, IF you know you're getting into. The game is janky and buggy as hell. The PvE component is half-baked at best. The graphics engine sucks (why didn't they just use ARMA 3?) and it's rampant with hacks. All of those things are true.

This is the thing that boggles my mind the most. These guys have made literally 10s of millions of dollars, and it seems the game has made little progress since it was released. With that amount of money, you can afford to go out and hire people to fix the problems. It's almost as if they're saying "Why bother? People keep buying it as is."

*DING

I watch videos of both games and broadcasts. H1Z1 appears to be wayyyyy ahead of DayZ. And I have played WarZ/Infestation and there is way more to do.

Sorry, I have no want in the world to go online and do nothing for 4 hours. F that. My time is hell of a lot more important than that.

Finally got to watch the video - this mode I have zero interest in. Hunter is a weak weak thing. Like someone else said, 2 UV lights, 2 dudes hacking away. Game over.

Evolve director on DLC: 'I don't like people thinking we're doing underhanded, dirty shit.'

So, I read all of the messages, thought maybe someone would bring it up.....anyone think his comments are just to get ahead of the utter failure this game is going to be? They have to be looking at the pre sale numbers and just taking it in the pants. Someone had to say something....I don't know of anyone getting it, and those that played the Alpha/Beta action all say the same. Gets old fast.

It isn't a fair comparison, but when I think of a 60 dollar game, I think of GTA, Skyrim, etc. But, maybe it is time for these studios to be honest about the value of their product. Bring back tiered games, 29.99 - 59.99. There are plenty that are worth 60, but a hell of a lot more that are not.

I'd be ok with the maximum fine of $16,000 per call though it will never happen. Sets an example to all the other telemarketing violators out there.

They obviously know who the calls were made to - so that money needs to go to them, not in some gubmint coffer....

Well, I am usually one that is right on top of these titles, but the Twitch these 2 dudes did were just gushing over it and trying to convince the people watching how much better and awesome it was over the DI series and that DI sucked so bad.

I get it, they were given the game and probably signed something to the effect of "say good things about this or else" deal, but still, it was a huge turnoff, and I didn't see anything that I was excited about. It was over an hour long......

Now. The climbing walls thing? Doesn't really excite me. I am not excited to act like the characters in AC but killing zombies. The cool thing about AC that grabs me is that the individual is a trained special individual. Unless I am wrong, aren't you just some schmoe in this game?

There are very few people that can scale walls and get to places with strong hands and fingers. And doesn't really fit/work for me in a zombie survival......now, if the back story is that you were a contestant on American Ninja Warrior and while you were waiting your turn BOOM zombies, ok, then I get it, but still not interested.

I guess when I play these zombie survival end of the world games, I guess I kind of want to feel like I am there. That it could happen, etc. Jumping off of a 2 story building and landing on them ala Batman secret silent kill....that doesn't grab me.....sorry (not sorry).

I will wait for everyone to play the hell out of it, and get it for $5.00 this fall when I am maybe finally bored with GTA5 on PC.

Amazon Prime (One Year Membership) on sale tomorrow for $72.00.

Mine just re-upped in Dec, wonder if I can add to it....such a great service. Not sure how high it has to go for me to stop using it. The shipping alone is HUGE for my family.

Coach Zimmer was asked about PSIGate this past week and he said
"I think it was like 41-7, right?" Zimmer said Wednesday morning before a Senior Bowl practice in Mobile, Alabama. "I don't think the balls had a lot to do with it."

Nail on head hit....

The NFL organization is a bad joke. Their pretense of having some sort of moral code of conduct would be laughable if it wasn't so sad. How many times does Cheaterchick get to cheat and get away with it? How many of the criminals in the league get to be criminals and get away with it? Pay a fine and off you go. That's the message they're sending. Lie, cheat, steal, do drugs, beat your wife, kill people, etc. and it's not only ok, you get rewarded for it.

I'm still having a hard time figuring out why this is cause for such alarm. Baseball teams doing all manner of ungodly things to the infield dirt or outfield grass in order to affect running and/or ball movement across those surfaces is just thought of as part of the game and a legitimate use of home field advantage. But take a bit of air out of a damn football and suddenly it's like Snidely Whiplash levels of skullduggery.

Exit question: Are baseball fans that much more accustomed to underhanded tactics, or are football fans that much thinner-skinned?

Changing the grass in baseball affects both teams, but from what I've been reading, it almost seems both offenses in an NFL game use separate sets of game balls?

In any case, baseball fans are just as pissed when there's cheating (I watched game 2 of the 2007 world series with a fellow Cardinals fans, and holy shit, I thought he was going to explode because Kenny Rogers was using pinetar while pitching. It was pretty incredible just how pissed he got) but the media makes far less of a broohaha about it.

Also, there's really nothing else to talk about re: the NFL right now, so it gets ridiculous amounts of attention.

DANGER ZONE! Dang, rogers not loggins.....still funny though.

I'll try it out at some point buit if it as boring and mundane as Guild Wars 2 was/is, I will be done with it pretty quickly.

IMO it's even worse. I lasted about a month in GW2. 2 weeks was more than enough in ESO, it's just so damn boring.

I spend A LOT of time reading books, listening to lore, crafting, etc. If you are just going to do point A point B missions and the lore isn't something you care about, then skip it. In that sense it is "just another MMO" point and click do this then that grind fest.

But if you are a huge fan like myself, then you will love it.

So, all discussions of Buy to Play vs F2P aside, is this game any good?

For an MMO, it's not bad. They do a lot of things that caters towards immersion, but they botch up grouping if you want to keep questing with the same people from one day to the next. Lots of phased quests, and no rested XP to help catch up to friends if you're out for a while.

Dungeon runs are kind of chaotic in a fun way because the AI doesn't just come straight at you like in other MMO's. I tried doing a line of site pull one time, and instead of getting all the melee mobs to come first, they grouped up with the casters and they all came around the corner at the same time. Was kind of a hilarious slaughter.

Basically it's worth checking, imo. I enjoyed my soloing in it. Haven't played since August.

Yea it is pretty hard solo. I did pub groups for some missions or just hung out with friends. I setup a couple BN groups for the different factions, just need to get back in and post em.
