Borderlands is a pretty safe preorder, at least you know what you're getting.

Honestly, looking at my playtime, and I am a HUGE supporter of $/hours=value......

Borderlands 1: 138 hours
Borderlands 2: 213 hours

For 43.00.....I will probably be ok.

Here is Seattle, we aren't celebrating Columbus day. They changed it to Indigenous People's Day.

Oh, snap. See, that's how it's done.

South Dakota was previously the only state in the Union that has done that for a long time. Minnesota is looking to go the same route.

Considering previous generations worked much harder then the generation that follows.... Back when I was a kid you might have heard about 1 or 2 cases of kids being allergic to peanut butter, but these days kids are allergic to all sorts of shit beaucse their parents eat all sorts of shit and pop pills for everything under the sun.
Think of it this way... Mother does drugs while pregnant and the children are typically born with health issues due to absorbing them from the mother. Now take a mother who is eating tiny amounts of whatever that is put in foods/drinks these days over the period of years. The eftcs aren't as noticble like with the drug baby but are more pronounced through out the child's life if that makes sense.
There is so much crap put into foods these days and the chemicals used to grow food that we have no clue what all the long term effects are.

I think you and I have had this conversation offline, and I know there are many others here I have discussed his with.

I truly believe McDonalds and soft drink companies are responsible for darn near every health problem anyone under the age of 25 has. They are the fast food generation's babies.

There are genetic disorders of certain mixes of people's gene's that create some disorders, but I truly believe that a very large swath of the rest of it could be broken down to diet/life choices. In the most simple area, diet during pregnancy.

Anyway......we don't consume fast food. Never will. We made all of our child's food, it also helped us eat better. Now he is 1 and he still gets some stuff considered baby food, but those teeth allow him to mostly eat what we are eating and he is super healthy. All family has direct orders of no fast food. Don't want to be part of the problem.

OH, and he got all of his vaccinations. *GASP!*

Nothing wrong with him.
(I know some here might say the only thing wrong with him is that I am the parent - hah, jokes. Like I haven't heard that before. )

The one time I tried your chili I managed to burn the shit out of it while simmering, rendering the contents entirely inedible.

You need the correct tools. Blue and I just had an email discussion about pots. A simple cheap pot just will not do. You need a pot that substantially moves the heat around the bottom and sides of the pot and doesn't focus on the direct heat.

I will find the link when I get home of what I am ordering.

Thanks guys. I only mentioned it since Ray Ban did. At the time, I didn't want to talk about it, and even now it's hard to describe. I wasn't particularly close to either of my parents, but with both of them gone, it's more of a feeling of "I guess I'm next."

Between all that and turning 39 this year and 40 next, this whole "age" thing is hard to grasp. It's like mentally still feeling 19, but your body is screaming otherwise.

I am right behind you, but things can change. After a 4 year hiatus I am back at the gym and feel better. My body was giving me all of the signs of "get your ass back into shape" - a couple of foot pursuits also were wake up calls. Felt like I blew out a knee jumping down a 6 foot wall at full speed chasing a kid that ran like a fucking gazelle (35 pounds of gear and combat boots don't help)....anyway.....I am still 50% on my foot pursuits.

Keep your head up brother. We are all in this wild ride together!

Why would you be disappointed?

Because I'd like to try Windows 10, but don't feel comfortable having every single thing I type sent back to Microsoft? And I don't feel comfortable having MS scan my SMS and phone data if I Sync my phone to my desktop?

Just because they're upfront about it doesn't make it any more shitty. (and again, I understand that they want to check SOME stuff to help make Win10 better. My phone data has nothing to do with their OS.)

everything already goes back to them, you ever put a sniffer on your network? There is a HELL OF A LOT OF ghost traffic that goes to MSFT from windows boxes......

How many times a day does the average person check their phone? 221, apparently.

Really? REALLY? People, please, get a life.

A lot of people who use their phone excessively have very active social lives, seeing as how phones are an ever larger part of coordinating and enabling peoples social interaction.

I'd be more worried about someones life who didn't even own a cell phone. They probably don't leave home much.

I don't agree. We were fine without them before....not sure why it is a need now to be social? I know a hell of a lot of people who refuse to use them. It may be difficult to get a hold of them at times (compared to others) but they are some of the most social people I know.

Might help that they work in the service industry, always know where to find them.

Now that I am playing Ingress....everytime I leave the house my phone is non stop.....

Otherwise....maybe 10 times a day? If I get a text or something, or if I take a picture of the boy and send it to family.
