Wow, D3 on xbox already 50% off. Not doing well I guess....I just don't see how you could successfully play that game with a controller - get steam rolled pretty quick i am sure.

The summer sale game is complete balls... For the amount of money people are handing Valve via auctions, most people could have bought their top 3 games (most likely at sales prices) many times over.

The whole competition is a great way to earn a bit of extra scratch selling cards to morons, but as per the article, the house always wins...

When you look at the number of Summer cards in the market place, realizing they are 100% virtual and generated just for this summer sale, then go look at the prices (20 cents and up) and how many points people are getting, and the coins, etc etc etc.

They are printing money! It is sick.

This guy is a riot, quote from Reddit:

Question, how many copies have they sold?

Alex:
Steam doesn't want me to say, so I can say we've sold over one hundred thousand so far

A lot of indie developers show screen shots of their sales pages - it is very cool.

I can't believe people pay for Starbucks coffee, let alone on a regular basis. Get a french press or brew a pot, better coffee at cheaper prices and you can even fit it into your 'busy lifestyle'. People are unbelievably lazy.

Even a $20.00 coffee pot at home makes better coffee than Starbucks (and most retail coffee for that matter).

Of course my 80.00 pot works nicely too!

You dont make us look any younger, Blue. I remember playing Quake in makeshift LAN parties like it was yesterday. I strongly believe i havent aged since then.
I remember downloading and playing qtest86(?) in my college's computer lab with no sound!

Yea, if I remember correctly - qtest was just 1 level? Single player? We had a LAN party and used null modem cables (can't remember if we had invested in a hub and NICs) and got a 4 payer game of deathmatch going with line commands. It was pretty awesome.

Well sure, they 'could' get into trouble...but they won't. Now that the NSA has carte blanche to do what they want cops everywhere and the rest of the people in intel realize it's free reign. They can do whatever they want, whenever they want, an no one will stop them. Welcome to the Banana Republic of America.

eh. The cell companies have said no and you must get a warrant for most cases....I tried to get one last week for a guy that went missing and the family was in fear for his safety....no go. "I" didn't feel he was in danger, figured he went to casino with a whore - but they didn't share my view. He showed up the next morning, turned his phone off, went to the casino with one of his 3 young girlfriends (he is in his 60s they are in their 20s).

Good on him.

A very cool, fun, and infuriating game - old school with new game type mixed in. AND IT IS ONLY 29 CENTS! (you can sell the cards for more than the game is selling for)

http://store.steampowered.com/app/96100/

(The new Sunggle Truck?)

((Sent out a bunch of copies! - basically if you are on my friends list and own Snuggle Truck - you got this game from me! hahahaha))

The problem is, as the article says, they're fueled by ego, they think less critically about their decisions because of that ego (they think they're infallible), and over time they hire people that feed that ego by not questioning them.

You just described my Chief!

I guess that means you won't be getting a promotion.

29. Re: EA on Jun 20, 2014, 22:59 xXBatmanXx

The sad part is this won't sell as well as they think, and they won't understand why. 'Cause you all know they are sitting in their ivory tower patting eachother on the back and saying what a great game this is - but yet the people doing that have never played the BF series let alone a quality FPS game........

EA is voted the worst organization year after year and people still support their games at full price. Yall (yall who buy the games at full price) need yer heads checked.

Actually they got a great idea. It's something Steam should look into. The excuse for piracy is that there is no demo or a demo is too limited to see what a gamer is truly buying. With this, it completely shuts down both those notions as they are giving you the entire game free as if you were renting it, for 2 days. Now after those 2 days where you got 48 hours worth of game time in, if you aren't still satisfied, you don't need to buy it or worry about an overcharge fee. It's a great move to be honest and it could cut down on piracy SOMEWHAT.

PSN+ has been doing this for along time - I wonder what their sales from these full trials indicate.

Yeah but if they open this open to all of the games on origin... Would beat out select free weekends on steam.

True, but isn't their fear that a full 2 days with a sub par game with zero word of mouth will get zero sales? Or maybe 1,000 sales is enough for them to pay for the bandwidth? I dunno. I just don't see many sales from this a 6v6 console game on pc seems like a waste....

House votes 293-123 to cut funding for NSA spying on Americans.

Won't matter will it? Thought this fell under the "black budget" or under Homeland Security unlimited funding....
