Thursday. Smoking day. Bison, hens, sausages, and a brisket. Can't wait!

And my invite got lost in the email again because.....?

You'd seriously consider driving from Cinci to Minneapolis for Bat's brisket?

Actually there are 4-5 Mpls peeps around here - so the invite stands. Any of you guys wanna head over - we will have a ton. Taking down a tree, smoking some foods, talking stupid, and enjoying some refreshing drinks.

Bison will be in 3 forms: dry rub, bacon wrapped, and naked.

Thanks for all the smoker input (NOT), ordered this one for simplicity and ease of use. Same one my buddy uses, set it and forget it. Love it.

Founder of Google Glass leaves for Amazon.

Isn't there a lawsuit between these two right now for poaching? This will be interesting.

Anyway - DOS, I still use it all the time (or a hybrid of it) as it is THE BEST trouble shooting tool in the biz.

Because police work is full of cool, polite people to interact with?

Nope, but we aren't as busy as people think - and the pay is a heck of a lot better!

And that's precisely why everyone should do at least one stint in a restaurant at some point in their lives. You then understand why not only tipping is necessary, but tipping well. Most people think a monkey could do it, but they really couldn't manage it if their very lives depended on it.

My wife loves it. She prefers it over other forms of work. She did the 9-5 grind and hated it. She enjoys the freedom and social part of working the service industry. We aren't getting rich off of her wares, but it works for our schedules and child care arrangements.

I've done it all...and I don't like it. Customers are assholes.

Went to a buddy's place today to sit on the deck, drink beer, watch the kids run around with the pups and smoke some meat. Had a superb bacon wrapped pork loin. Been sweating for 2 hours sitting at home in the AC......so full....

I've been on a martini day myself.

oooo haven't done that in a while - that sounds like a great idea....

Sure enough, a little poking around in the corner of the basement that still contains mysterious odds-and-ends we found when we moved in here turned up a screen and both storm windows.

*Imagines Blue in a real-life version of Gone Home.*

Speaking of Gone Home, I just finished that a few days ago. It was pretty amazing. Man, that house was creepy. But I loved the way the story was revealed. A lot of RPGs could takes notes from this game. It would really improve the story telling.

I fired it up on the PS3 from PS+ got it free....fell asleep after going through 2 rooms and dying. heheheheh I was tired....

The image of that PC Gamer cover just popped into my mind. That worked out so well for all involved...

Also, apparently The Sims are livin large...

For anyone else who the link 403's on: link

I remember getting this one in the mail and thinking "who are these clowns?"

In 14 years my reaction hasn't changed.

From that article:
Bleszinski on "PC vs. Console":

I find it very disturbing going from the PC to the console and to have to be Sony's bitch; to have to have Sony approve the things that we do. It's upsetting for me to submit it for their approval.

Now he is Sony AND MSFT's bitch.
