I have spent a surprisingly large amount of time with the game. As stated in OoTB, it is a game that deserves your support. The game is a blast, lots of humor, steep learning curve, tons of fun.

That is the short of it. Hit me up with questions. I have an Early Access review out there and put some time in this AM to the 1.0 release.

What's it like? 1600s version of FTL meets Terraria?

That is kind of a good description. You micromanage your crew, build your ship, give abilities to your crew, level them up, pillage the land, sink ships, etc etc etc. Explore and kill the 4 bosses. I have spent a heck of a lot of time on it, and the bosses are level 10, I have only managed to get to level 7, but when the fights are 10 v 10 and half your crew gets wiped out and your ship damaged, it takes time to rebuild. Have to manage their hunger, morale, and health.

This is a good intro video: It is Early Access though, so a lot has changed, but will give you a great idea of how the game starts, the learning curve, the build up, etc. The game does not move fast. I love it. I guess it is my FTL.....

(I don't like PewDiePie much, IMHO he crosses over the line between silly and stupid, but he's certainly successful.)

I blame the Jersey Shore generation that thinks the crap on MTV is "Real Life" (see what I did there).

I don't know 1 person that actually knows who the F or what the F pewdiepie is. (or maybe who watches it - cause I would have to have a come to Jesus with them) I watched a few moments of a few videos. I couldn't stand it. (recently found out what and who it was)

And that guy makes money!? WTF!?

Your ‘Craft’ Whiskey Is Probably From a Factory Distillery in Indiana.

Have a new place not far from my house http://www.norsemandistillery.com/ They had been doing only Vodka, waiting for them to do a batch of WHISKEY.

Know the difference (the article talks about whisKEY - the one I prefer).

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Pixel Piracy is released!

Chatted with Alex Poysky over Steam this AM - I can't say it enough, this is really a group of people that deserve support for the product they have released. I hope you all give it a chance.

50% off right now!

You guys could always try out DayZ for your Monday night sessions. It's always fun to hold up others or full-on ambush people for their gear. Plus the time spent trekking across the countryside provides ample time for random discussions.

So they can run around and do nothing for 4 hours? He just said he didn't want to do that....

Terraria can escalate pretty darn quickly.....maybe try Starbound 4 player, would actually be more fun that Terrarria. Going to different worlds and warping to each other's ships and what not.....

There were some things I enjoyed about 3 and 4, but 2 is probably still the pinnacle for me. The grind is fine, but now you can just buy your way to the top. Whatever.

I play BF and CoD when friends ask me to, and that is fun. But I don't find any joy in pubs. The game requires teamwork, and when over half of the team (don't have our own servers to have limits) is snipers and we are supposed to be taking an objective, I just loose my shit.

Recently I went back to CSGO (I hate myself) but I am actually making money on people who think weapon and knife skins are worth money. Which will continue to fund my addiction to buying games.

Any future CoD or BF will be at the sales prices. Got BF3 for 5.00 and BF4 for 20. done and done.

Not that I care much about the franchise, but I'm assuming the taking of the nuclear reactors and the crippling of governments and military aren't directly related. Rather the chaos, terror and battles that ensued afterwards? Maybe? Kind of stretching it still...

I dunno man....I watched the Crisis series - and that Chinease virus f'd the sh*t outta the US East Coast pretty quick.....just saying.

Actually kinda true kinda not... in that if you chose to stay in super cruiser (light speed without a jump), you could point at a star leave your computer for a few years and it would get there....(the tech in super-cruise allows for that, even if real life game time wouldn't).

Oh, it would? Then I stand corrected.

I figured it'd just be the standard "you'd keep moving indefinitely as the game just conjures up empty space around you, but you'll never actually get there" box that space games use.

Wondering what it matters if it is all nothingness.......what is the point? If the game is so damn large, again, just empty space.

Reminds me of Starbond - they want millions of planets, but to what purpose?

/Thanks for the insights Theo.

Logitech G Unveils World’s Fastest Gaming Mouse

Now if only they could put that tech in the best "mouse" ever created: The M570. Why thumb balls haven't achieved a wider adoption, I'll never understand. It's so much better in every conceivable way. It's faster, it's more accurate, easier on the hand/wrist, you never have to worry about running out of desk/mousepad, etc. Oh, and the lag-free RF wireless? Fuck yes! Do this for my mouse, and I'll buy 10, and hand them out to friends. Otherwise, it's just another stupid gimmick.

No no.. the best mouse ever created is the mx518 (Ps.: The mx518 already tracks as fast as I can move.. maybe I just move slower ,p)

Someone's never used a trackball.

Trackball blows for gaming. I tried. You can always tell who is using one when spectating. They are SO SLOW and choppy. Your thumg is only so long, can't move around very well without repositioning your thumb, so tehre is a HUGE dead space every time you have to move back.

Well, they let this go for a year, and now doing someting abot it. Lame-o. Take their money, then ban em. They will be back. The problem is yo pissed off a lot of potential customers with your lack of movement on the cheaters in the first place. I played for an hour when the game came back, was steamrolled by cheaters big time, never went back. oh well.

Really excited to play the final version. I played the hell outta this in Early Access then stopped to wait for the majority of bugs to be taken out. I wrote to them more than once and received answers back very quickly. I applaud them, and it is a very good game.

I came very close to buying this in the last sale but EA dissuaded me, plus I have no clue what the hell you do in it and watching 30 seconds of a video made it look like it may not be something I like.

But that won't stop me from buying it when it hits $5 and playing for a while.

They just released a new trailer on Twitter.....enjoy.

Lets play vids are great, the game takes a LONG time to get going and building stuff. Here is an intro.
