| Single player games generally sell more than multiplayer games. |

it seems like they release slow drivers to their customers on purpose at first, then when the competition gets tight they do something to get 25% more speed each time That wouldn't be very logical. Because if they had the faster drivers already, they would release them and it would keep the competiton from getting tight in the first place. They'd end up at the same point either way. But it's better for promotion when they're faster in the first place. |

That's not really accurate. Unreal Tournament and Unreal are two different franchises, neither of which have just about anything in common except a name at this point. UT isn't a multiplayer aspect of Unreal anymore. It's like saying that Quake is the multiplayer component of Doom. Plus, UT2003 does have a single player component. |

NWN needed paper sleeves because they couldn't possibly fit a 3-CD jewel case in the new boxes with that bigass manual in there too. The european version had a case, but no paper manual at all.

For example, I have no reason to own a DVD drive. Why? I have an expensive Sony DVD player with a builtin hardware decoder and a nice 27" sony tv in the frontroom. Why the heck would I need a DVD drive on my computer? I don't. Yeah, people said the same thing about CD's. The reason why they needed one is because people started selling CD-only software, due to how many people happened to have CD-rom's, as they came standard with new computers. |

The problem is, that most american consumers do not have DVD-roms. They could make a DVD version alongside the CD version, but that would be a bit of a gamble. It will take a little while longer for DVD-rom's to catch on enough. |

Something worth considering: You can shoot, mutilate and kill people but you can't see some breasts which is part of the human anatomy. That isn't worth considering, because the argument is flawed. If the game is about shooting people, then shooting people adds to the gameplay. But unless it is about sex or nudity, breasts rarely add to the gameplay. They are put in as a cheap marketing ploy, a crutch to compensate for gameplay too poor to do well on its own, and it is thereby poor design. Or, it is simply put in because of the immaturity of the developer.
As Chris said... If Tomb Raider did not have Lara in it, it would still have played the same, and been the same game. But it would not have sold as well. |

Religous discussions on internet message boards do not end. If they ever do, it's after 50 pages, and only because the thread is locked or people get tired of bickering about it. No one will ever win a religious discussion on a message board, no matter who is right or wrong. |

They may be, but they are not following the Quron then. It says to kill the infidel. That would be anyone who isn't a Muslim. I never went around and harrassed anyone.
And the christian Bible says to kill children who disobey their parents. What is your point? |

| Anyone else find it amusing that people are saying BF1942 will beat out UT2003, when it's UT2003's forums that are constantly overloaded, and the UT2003 news that gets dozens of posts on here whenever Epic even sneezes? |

| They aren't even pirated versions. They're outdated test versions missing most of the code that is now in the game. People call them "the real copy" to sound cool. As if they have "the hookup" or whatever. |

Actually, Assult got axed because of the terrible AI troubles they are having with the engine. 1.) They wouldn't axe it because of bots 2.) It's the same engine, just an updated version. If they weren't having troubles with them the first time around, they wouldn't be having them with the new version. |
