| It's amazing this even got made when you consider the number of people who had to sign on to the concept. I got tired of it before the trailer even finished. Unless the developers ride the short bus to work every day, it must have been tortuous to work on. |

Third-person... {sigh}.
Does every fucking new game HAVE to get consolized into this shit perspective/genre? And whatever the reasons or rationalizations used by these fucktards to justify turning a FPS into yet another cookie-cutter, cover-systemized, immersion-destroying, controller-limited, over-the-shoulder "action" game for luddites doesn't explain the fact that a FPS X-Com game was completely uninteresting in the first place. As a third-person, it's just console kiddie pablum unworthy of a second glance, even at bargain bin/holiday sale prices.
But hey... some of you might like it. |

Dev wrote on May 7, 2013, 22:31: We know the simcity sales now. 1.6 million. Pretty big seller for a PC game. Not huge, but big. I wonder how much better sales would have been without the crappy launch and some (immho) pretty awful design decisions (for what has always been a single-player PC game). |

| Yeah, Portalish clone, but it looks like it might be fun, as long as the QTEs are kept to a minimum and the player is actually allowed to play. Portal moved the story along much more subtly and less invasively than most new consolized crap nowadays. FPS is a check in the mandatory column for a me with a game of this type. |

| Probably third-person, probably consolized as all hell and full of QTEs. We'll see, but I ain't getting my hopes up for a good PC game. I never do nowadays. Teasers don't do shit for me. I want to see gameplay and the UI. |

”Many continue to claim the Always-On function in SimCity is a DRM scheme. It’s not. People still want to argue about it. We can’t be any clearer – it’s not. Period.” -Peter Moore You can say it over and over and over, but that doesn't make it true.
Peter Moore is further evidence that there are a much higher percentage of sociopaths that become CEOs (and COOs) than there are in the rest of the population. He starts off with what seems will be a mea culpa of sorts, and then proceeds to defend every fucked up thing EA does. What an arrogant sack of shit. Never buying another EA game. Never. |

| Lies. Who the fuck wanted an auction house?! The game was designed for maximum monetization in spite of what players wanted, and shitty drops "encouraged" players to use the AH. Fuck you, Jay Wilson. I suppose we all wanted always-connected drm as well. You designed the game AROUND the AH, and now you have the balls to claim that you only did it because you thought that's what players wanted? How much money has Blizzard made on the AH so far? Again, fuck you Jay Wilson. And fuck you Blizard and all the console kiddies you hired who have no idea what PC gamers want and what made the previous Diablos so good. |

Slick wrote on Mar 22, 2013, 02:00: "name me one PC gamer... ...doesn't pirate most of their games." Fletch. And I can name lots more. Witcher2 sales alone prove you wrong. Good PC games sell. JFC, you talk like a clueless newb who thinks this is the first time this has been discussed here, instead of the millionth. Most of us were members here before you cuffed your carrot for the first time. I have shelves full of PC game boxes, from the DOS days to the present, in my game room, and almost 400 games between my Steam and GoG accounts.
"Debate" you on this? You don't understand the word, and you have no argument anyway. Just regurgitations from PR departments who try to justify invasive DRM, and anecdotal "evidence" from your tiny world.

Eidos just wants a slice. I'll probably buy it. Thief 3 was ass. It's easy to understand why you'd be interested in this one. Thief was a stealth game and designed as such, not an action game. Make it an action game, it isn't Thief. |

"Time's moved on, so I mean we're not still in 1998, but the character was there." And so was the gameplay, you pompous ass. Loved the first two. This one sounds like it's gonna be yet another shitty, consolized, QTE-fest. May as well also make it FTP, multiplayer, over-the-shoulder, and H&H. I'm not interested in more console dreck. |

"So if it were PC only, could we have done more things? Certainly, yes. Could we have afforded a budget to make a game like Crysis 3 PC only? No. People have to understand that this is a journey of give and take.” And the more you take away from the PC version, the less PC gamers will give you. |
