4. NFL...bah... Dec 4, 2002, 15:16 Hyatus

My favorite football games had nothing to do with the NFL.
Super High Impact was(and is) still infinitely better than
Blitz(an opinion, obviously(and not to mention that I find
Blitz to be pretty damned fun)).

Pigskin Footbrawl was (dare I say the word...) HELLA fun
(also still is).

And the granddaddy of all cross-genre sports titles, "Mutant
League Football"(well, and the uber-fun ML Hockey) to which
I am STILL waiting for an all-new kickass 3d version of.

Midway, sack the NFL. Do your own thing.

'Wal-Mart sells 25 percent of the computer and video games purchased annually in the United States...'

Who in the hell buys their games at Wal-Mart?

27. alas... Dec 2, 2002, 14:09 Hyatus

Unfortunately, I only saw the first few episodes of the
Sopranos this season. I missed episode 5, I believe and
then I just couldn't watch the rest of the series(I gotta
watch it all in order).

Seemed to be starting pretty good.
However, I feel like gunning down everyone who mentioned
the Tony and Ralphie spoiler. Some people don't have HBO
and actually watch the DVDs you know.

Grrr...

Texas!

It's GOTY for me.

I already pay too much to AT&T with their crap upload and
download caps. If they started using this system, I think
I'd decide to cancel their service. Then I'd go take a
walk. Then look at DSL prices.

I'd rather be sucking down files at 2k/sec than have to
wait for the next few hundred people to download what they
want.

4. eh... Nov 26, 2002, 12:24 Hyatus

I played this game at a LAN party the other day.
It was kind of fun, but not worth $45-$50.

UT was awesome, tho...Assault is one of the greatest game-
types I've played for an FPS.

Oh, and that Bombing Run gametype was pretty fun/hectic.

Cel Shading is uber-kewl when it's used right.

And Jet Grind(Set) Radio was awesome.

No, not imports.
However, I'm sure there are homebrew games being made for
the system.

Look at the Dreamcast and GBA. There are quite a few home-
brews for those.

I know, this is f'in NUTS!

'Examples he cited were: sudden and large cash withdrawals, one-way air or rail travel, rental car transactions and purchases of firearms, chemicals or agents that could be used to produce biological or chemical weapons.'

I think we might need better protection with the last three
(firearms on), but the first handful of examples are just
stupid.

'"I find it somewhat counter intuitive that people are not concerned that telemarketers and insurance companies can acquire this data but feel tremendous trepidation if a government ventures into this arena. To me it just smacks of paranoia.'

Telemarketers don't have any effect on our daily lives(well,
except for stupid phone calls). How about a little less
'crime prevention legislation' and a bit more 'finding the
criminals who've already broken the laws'?

Like we all don't know there's a certain amount of danger
when we step out of our doors everyday.

5. Re: ermm... Nov 21, 2002, 16:52 Hyatus

Yes, LOTR is a nerd movie.
I'm fairly sure that 68% of the profits came from nerds and
chicks with bishounen fetishes. And we all know that chicks
with bishounen fetishes have the internet. And you can't
have the internet and not of been able to hear about
Warcraft III.

*blink blink*

Hasn't this game been out for almost 6 months?
They're playing these trailers at nerd movies(James Bond
being the exception, but who in the hell wants to see a
non-Connery/non-Moore James Bond film?). Don't most of
us nerd/geek/'computer-enthusiast' types know about this
game by now?

I doubt they could even touch upon the creepiness of 'Return

I'm sure it would depend on the chip and the OS.
32-bit and lower apps SHOULD be backwards-compatible,
provided there aren't any bugs.

There are legitimate non-pirating uses for a mod-chip.

That said, I think they should've made and stated this
decision before the system came out. I understand WHY
they're doing this and to a point, I can agree with it.
However, penalizing users for something they didn't know
about almost a year after the fact is not fair to the
customer.

I'm sorry...ONE HUNDRED VEHICLES??????

How in the hell does someone get away with something like
that? I mean, they're using the word spree, so I'm
thinking at most a MONTH's worth. That's like, 3 vehicles
a day. Obviously he got the knowledge of how to break into
these cars from SOMEWHERE. GTA3 ain't THAT detailed.

wow...and they say kids these days aren't educated.

The Wachowski bros. did Bound?
That pseudo lesbian/crime movie starring the oh-so-luscious
Jennifer Tilly and Joe Pantoliano?

That was a kewl movie.

Still, two movies does not a track record make.

7. well... Nov 13, 2002, 14:55 Hyatus

Not to mention that the writers of the movies are writing
the story for the game.

Of course, seeing as how the Matrix is the only thing of
theirs that I've been able to lay my eyes upon, I guess it
doesn't give them a good track record of exciting
entertainment.

I mean, just because John Carpenter puts out a good movie
once a millennia doesn't mean I'd highly recommend him.
