So you've been saving those mushrooms for nothing…

Naw. I've still got my copy of Care Bears II: The New Generation. Such vivid colors. Yes! We care. We care. We care. I...care!?
I CARE! I CARE! I CARE!

I am so sick of hearing Nickelback songs. That lame photograph one played on the radio for over a year, every day, seemingly every time I turned on my car.

I hope to god they never make it to Rock Band.

I know. Maybe they should realize that a tortured animal is a tasty animal.

Wow, right off the bat this "Essential James Bond" thing got it wrong. Six actors have played JB? They seemed to forget Barry Nelson from the original made-for-a-tv-show Casino Royale and David Niven from the spoof Casino Royale.

*takes off his movie-geek glasses and puts his gaming-geek glasses back on*

I'm trying to figure out how they're going to make this fun. There really isn't much action in the book. Maybe it'll be a point-and-click adventure!?

I really hope Obama does a better job than Bush.

An actual bush could do better than Bush.

Yeah, as much as I love gaming and the idea of pro-gaming, this can't be a decent show. It brings back memories of all the failed video game shows I watched as a kid. I just hope that the "bring video games to life" challenges aren't those stupid eye-toy-like games I've seen on numerous shows.

I think what these things need is a good editor who understands what shots need to be shown and what do not. We'll see, I guess.

The 11th of June... that was over 4 months ago. Is it really that hard for the US to use Day/Month/Year like the rest of the world? Silly me, they've got to be different

While I typically agree with certain things the US is behind on(metric system...broadband propagation) this is not one. Month/Day is easier to read by computers and easier to read in lists. The ideal situation would be YYYY/MM/DD, but shorthand I'll take MM/DD.

Actually, quotation marks used like you've used them generally mean that what's inside is part of a title.

News Comments > DX3 Dev: Deus Ex was "Kinda Slow"
33. Re: DX3 Dev: Deus Ex was Oct 22, 2008, 11:58 Hyatus

"At this point we don’t know exactly which platforms we’re going to be out on. The PC, we’ll be there for sure.

Yeah, sure they don't know.

But for us, console-isation isn’t about dumbing down features. If we’re to go console we will want to keep the complexity alive. We want the menu interface and controller to feel simple without risking any of their potential."

*sigh* PC games aren't good because they're necessarily "complex". They're good because the options are vast. I sure hope they realize that there is a difference.

5. Re: Ships Ahoy - Spider-Man: Web of Shadows Oct 21, 2008, 12:18 Hyatus

Spider-Man 2 and Ultimate Spider-Man were awesome games(we're talking consoles here).
Spider-Man 3 for 360 wasn't that bad. It was still fun to swing through the city(which is mostly why I pick these games up).
This has a brand-new combat system, which is my biggest gripe with these games. Let's hope it doesn't suck. *fingers crossed*

10. Re: No subject Oct 16, 2008, 17:13 Hyatus

I think it's absurd when people demand co-op in every game, especially games that are clearly not designed for it.

If a developer keeps it in mind when they are designing it then it will be designed for it.

Sometimes it's just fun roaming the game world and, say, shooting things with a buddy. It doesn't have to be a shot-for-shot remake of the single player portion with two people for it to be fun.

I must be alone in thinking the screenshots here look alright. Only problem I can see is that the ground textures could be a bit sharper.

Actually, my guess is that the Activision peeps just spent a gazillion dollars on Blizzard and want to start seeing returns sooner than later. Since SC2 is probably the closest to actually being done, here we are.

50. Feeling used...games Oct 9, 2008, 20:21 Hyatus

Games are physical property. If original customer sells game to other customer, then when original customer wants to play it again, he needs to buy a copy. And by the way, who the hell buys used when the difference is $5(which is what most newer games have as a discount from gamestop in the first month or three).
