If all the contract says is that it had to begin development more than 2 weeks ago, I bet Bethesda will be fine. I doubt they just started working on it.

Wow...so all we have to do to avoid cancer is exercise, go outside and eat right? Awesome. Glad the world works like that. I'd hate to think that cancer was semi-random and happy that we know what causes it.

My first Voodoo card was a Voodoo Banshee. Upgraded that from an AiW ATI Rage II+(or c, can't remember).

Made Half-Life awesome to play.
Was looking forward to 3dfx's new line when they went under.

News Comments > Steam Sacred 2 Patch Next Week
6. Re: Steam Sacred 2 Patch Next Week Apr 7, 2009, 14:02 Hyatus

Yeah, Steam needs a bit of work.

On my end, I've rarely experienced any problems. I don't use most of the features, though. Steam is a convenient store/storage area for my games. Nothing more. And they usually have some good deals on games I want to try(I'm cheap).

Only issues I've had are the games not automatically updating 100% of the time(which takes, like, 2 clicks...not what I'd call a major inconvenience). And, sometimes I have to use taskmanager to close the program after it gets a Steam update(as in, the client exe). That one is a bit of a pain, but meh, I'm still happy with it.

I'm split on the 3d thing.
On one hand, it's pretty awesome.
On the other, the projectors are very expensive and it's hurting business for small-time theatres.

I don't know if I want a regal cinema in this area, either. Their prices are ridiculous.

Sometimes I wonder if technology has helped kill the small business.

Blue, did you have to check and recheck this when you typed it just to make sure you didn't actually type Archon each time?

I'm just wondering how this is going to work when the major cable companies are capping broadband.

I dunno. Combat(at least from the trailer) reminds me of Morrowind, albeit spruced up a little.

Looks good for an indie game and it's nice to have the player's view models actually interact with the world which is something you don't see enough of in games these days.

Psyched, but these stupid "point" purchases make me feel like I'm using tickets at a crappy arcade for dumb whistles and styrofoam airplanes that don't fly.

I'm an adult. I can handle things like real prices for my games.

Bless Sony for getting it right at least.

... but would you pick the people behind that camera, the Purchase Brothers, or Uwe Boll to make Hollywood budget Half Life film?

I'd pick two retarded monkeys, a zebra and Zombie Hitler before I'd pick Uwe Boll to...wait...I think I just wrote the screenplay for Madagascar 3. To Germany!

Or, for a fraction of the price we could all pitch in to hire a
hitman. Just an idea.

My inner child got bored in space.
Again, bored in space.

WTH?
My inner child loves Star Wars, The Last Starfighter, some Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica(new and old), heck, even Buck Rogers.
And with all that behind him, he was bored to tears.

I remember reading an old statistic that said the crazier the wedding was, the more likely the couple would stay together.

Most companies make the year's income around the Christmas season.
Moms, dads and especially grandparents aren't as likely to buy junior
stuff on Steam or any other similar service when they could just pick
it up in the store. I doubt most of them even know these services
exist and why they're useful.

"It's been a fantasy everyone has had, using The Force," says Howard Roffman, president of Lucas Licensing.

The bigger fantasy is a freaking working light saber game.
How hard is it, seriously, to redo Die By the Sword with light sabers for the Wii? Jeezy Creezy.

The problem isn't whether it works or not. The problem is that 3rd-party developers never have the money to spend writing code for something that only a handful of people will buy.

That's easy. You don't buy these games for yourself(mostly), you buy them for someone who loves the show.
