My bad. I was thinking of the NES Star Wars. I don't know that I've ever played the SNES versions(I don't recognize the screenies on google).

Anywho, I'm changing my critique: The NES Star Wars games sucked. I'll play the SNES ones later(though I'm not paying $8 a title).

Still think the announcement was a letdown.

Wow...eight bucks for something I can find at an old game store for a quarter of the price. Awesome.

Aside from that, the SNES Star Wars games blew.

Sorry, LucasArts, I love the old school but this isn't what any of the people you referred to want. No gold star for you.

It'll probably be an X-Wing adventure game done by Telltale.

Double ditto on the motion control. Most of the games I play use the controller sideways ala traditional style.

Fact is, until an actual lightsaber game comes out that works like it should, nobody will be happy with 3rd party development. 'Sides, NATAL(or whatever it's called) seems more the wave of the motion-sensing future.

Settlements are legal agreements. As such, your lawyer needs to look them over and make sure they can't pull anything out of their ass at a later time. They go on the record but that part of the record may be sealed, hence why you never hear what the settlement is.

Let me get this straight:
"Latino children play more video games than white children. And they're really not able to play themselves," Williams said.

but:

"These are highly underserved groups. It's a missed sales opportunity."

So he's saying, what? Latino kids play more videogames but don't buy them? Racist.

Just played that Cooking Mama game and I'm wondering where I can get bleeding eggs at.

Also, Cooking Mama should have her name rescinded as apparently she leaves most of her food very raw.

My issue with the MP DLC idea is that it's hard to "add-in" MP after the fact. Games that start with the idea that there will be Multi are generally less problematic than games that add it in later.

Also, the less DLC my system has to d/l the better. It's tough to clear up all the crap on my system when I want to play something I've already purchased just so I can d/l for a few hours and remove it again later.

It's also a pain for those of us who also own PS3s where you have a max download limit before you have to purchase something again.

I just wanted something a little less mundane when you hit space.
I feel like I'm running an unsuccesful business with all the little stupid upkeep tasks you have to do to win.

Also, wtf?

You can clone a ship on the spot but you can't make several to invade the galaxy with?

To be fair, neither one(player vs gamer) sounds any good.
We should come up with a better label, I think.

How about Digital Hero?
Competitive Shooter?(for the fps gamers, maybe?)
GameBangers?(hey baby...I'm a gamebanger. Want some of THIS action?(whips out a PSP) yeah, that's right...hand-held...giggity)

Suggestions?

Yeah, releasing missions weekly.

And I agree, yes, that's what they get paid for. When I played CoH it was before the whole "create your missions" thing. I'm not saying it's easy, like, everyone and their mother could whip out a mission in fifteen minutes. But, experienced developers should be able to produce something in a timely manner. Maybe they need to make games more modular?

It's the only MMO I care about(albeit not a whole lot). I'm waiting for the open beta to see if it's worth sinking my free time(what little there is) into. Tried CoH and it was pretty meh. I hate games that "force" me to bring along a friend. Is it so hard to ask for weekly multiplayer-optional storyline-driven missions?

Freedom Force is awesome and still has a good little mod community going for it. It's too bad it didn't sell very well. That series needs more sequels.

Several Battle.net features like advanced communication options, achievements, stat-tracking, and more, require players to be connected to the service,

Stuff I could care less about, check.
