So where are all the idiots that keep bleating how complaining never changes anything? Please makes yourselves heard, fellas.

Creston

I am definitely in the camp that said this wouldn't result in crap done. I am glad it has, but does the handful of times this has ever affected something make me an idiot?

All in all, this should be a rule. If a loud majority complains about something, the company and more importantly, the shareholders need to listen.

The most interesting news in that Salon.com article was that Walter was inspired by a real person.

Sucks for the developers, but really, eh.
Interplay has sucked hard since the buyout. I'm not surprised. If they were smart, they'd scrap FO:O and sell the whole shebang to Bethesda. Actually, if they were smart they would have done that before this announcement.

They've probably got a large backstock of joysticks they need to sell. Starting this game might get them to sell a few.

Anybody playing a Cryptic game must now, according to the revised Terms of Service, house and feed a Chinese gold farmer.

In a roundabout way, buying into these games will help do exactly that.

1. 50 Paid Android Apps Worth the Price May 31, 2011, 12:02 Hyatus

Almost all of these apps have a free alternative that's just as good(some better). I work at a Verizon 3rd party store and when someone brings in a phone that's messing up, getting rid of the Antivirus app seems to fix it.

There are no viruses for Android phones, yet. Just the very rare malware. And I suspect some of these antivirus apps are malware themselves.

2. That's the end of IT. May 30, 2011, 14:35 Hyatus

Seriously? One of the funniest shows on tv is about to end. This sucks. How hard can it be to do 6 episodes a year? I'd understand if the total sum of episodes != one us tv season. Shooting has to take up, what, a month at best? Jerks.

Jesus, all these guys are good for is mediocre shooters. And del Toro can fuck right off!

While I agree with the first sentence, what's with the second?
He's a great director who can actually do horror. Few horror games anymore unnerve me. I think the genre could benefit from this.

And yes, f them in the a for not doing another freespace-style game(about the only reason I still have a joystick).

25. Re: Capcom DRM Follow-up May 26, 2011, 21:44 Hyatus

I'm always weary when I see questions like these from the suits. No matter what answer is given, whether sensible or not, the people who have the decision-making power try to please the shareholders who are mostly stupid sheep.

It's too bad Capcom can't please the consumers who decide to give the shareholders their money.

I was thinking more like turning up a superconductor full blast and pointing it at them for a duration. You know, throwing science at the wall and seeing what sticks. Do you know what it'll do? I don't.

Yes, it's slave labor.
However, given the choice between manual labor or playing WoW all day long, how many people would choose the former?
(I might, but I really don't like WoW and could use the exercise)

I'm just saying that with all of the injustices China forces on its citizens, there are definitely worse things to be concerned about.

For every game that appeals to 'intelligence', there are a hundred that are nothing more than time-wasters.

I'd say this was on par with Hollywood.

I hate when people say that. "Oh gawd, I don't know why but I want this."

Then why are you even gaming?

These statements make no sense together.
How does not knowing why you want a game have anything to do with why you play games?

It's like saying, "I dig Katy Perry's voice. I don't know why. Why am I even listening to music?"

I play games for the fun factor--if want lessons in politically correct sexual etiquette circa ~2011 I will certainly look elsewhere. Stay out of my games! Thanks.

Having gay characters doesn't make it politically correct, it makes it realistic. There are gay folks in the world. There are gay folks who play video games.

I hope I'm being trolled.

Or maybe we're just Beatles fans who can't believe that anyone would compare themselves to arguably one of the greatest and most influential bands of all time.
