Who wants to bet that "another download service" == Origin?

Remember a few years ago? When Valve decided that Counterstrike will be a Steam exclusive? And that Half-Life 2 will be a Steam exclusive? When many people are bitching about this weird Steam thing? Now they are bitching about a game NOT being available on Steam.

People, especially gamers adapt. Very quick.

The difference between then and now is that Valve created a new market for this sort of deal and does a damned good job with it.
EA is bringing nothing to the table except the lust for a bigger share of the pie(which I'm sure was still quite a bit more than the B&M stores were giving them).

I have an apparently rare boxed copy of FF7 for PC in a trapezoid box.

It's got to be the only game in my physical collection worth anything to a collector.

I have one of those still. It's actually worth something?

Don't even think to look at the boxes when I'm in a store that stocks them.

Ain't that the truth. Last time I checked, my local stores had a handful of new AAA titles(which were cheaper on Steam), an assload of Popcap(and the ilk) games and Diablo II(still surprised this game is sold).

Shelf-space deals with retail stores helped pave the way to the digital revolution.

The clip shows Agent 47 taking out a series of bodyguards in order to get a glimpse of a chick taking a shower. Or maybe he plans on shooting her

Can't it be both?

So where are all the idiots that keep bleating how complaining never changes anything? Please makes yourselves heard, fellas.

Creston

I am definitely in the camp that said this wouldn't result in crap done. I am glad it has, but does the handful of times this has ever affected something make me an idiot?

All in all, this should be a rule. If a loud majority complains about something, the company and more importantly, the shareholders need to listen.

Sucks for the developers, but really, eh.
Interplay has sucked hard since the buyout. I'm not surprised. If they were smart, they'd scrap FO:O and sell the whole shebang to Bethesda. Actually, if they were smart they would have done that before this announcement.

They've probably got a large backstock of joysticks they need to sell. Starting this game might get them to sell a few.

Anybody playing a Cryptic game must now, according to the revised Terms of Service, house and feed a Chinese gold farmer.

In a roundabout way, buying into these games will help do exactly that.

1. 50 Paid Android Apps Worth the Price May 31, 2011, 12:02 Hyatus

Almost all of these apps have a free alternative that's just as good(some better). I work at a Verizon 3rd party store and when someone brings in a phone that's messing up, getting rid of the Antivirus app seems to fix it.

There are no viruses for Android phones, yet. Just the very rare malware. And I suspect some of these antivirus apps are malware themselves.

Seriously? One of the funniest shows on tv is about to end. This sucks. How hard can it be to do 6 episodes a year? I'd understand if the total sum of episodes != one us tv season. Shooting has to take up, what, a month at best? Jerks.

He's a great director who can actually do horror. Few horror games anymore unnerve me. I think the genre could benefit from this.

And yes, f them in the a for not doing another freespace-style game(about the only reason I still have a joystick).

I'm always weary when I see questions like these from the suits. No matter what answer is given, whether sensible or not, the people who have the decision-making power try to please the shareholders who are mostly stupid sheep.

It's too bad Capcom can't please the consumers who decide to give the shareholders their money.

Yes, it's slave labor.
However, given the choice between manual labor or playing WoW all day long, how many people would choose the former?
(I might, but I really don't like WoW and could use the exercise)

I'm just saying that with all of the injustices China forces on its citizens, there are definitely worse things to be concerned about.
