I would be surprised to see a full blown AAA MMO announced from Bethesda just after the launch of Skyrim.

It's the perfect time. It'll be 6 months past the release of Skyrim, so everyone will still have the game somewhat fresh on their minds when they announce it.

On the PS2 version of BG2, the God-King of Mulhorand called for the sun chariot. I've been waiting in anticipation ever since. Bring it on, Horus-Re.

There is no PS2 version of BG2. There was Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2, but the Dark Alliance series is a separate deal.

Well, seeing as how the first news about the port I heard in forever was that the game was released, I don't doubt that they covered the game's marketing costs within 2 days.

Development costs were probably just the costs to port from the console to the PC which couldn't have been much.

Some TVs have two different modes for HDMI. One is PC, the other is AV. Also, sometimes the stretch(over/underscan) option is on in the Catalyst Control Panel and that muddies it up and makes it look like crap.

Nice! This game is crack. If I didn't have other responsibilities (wife, kids, etc...) I would probably have died from sleep deprivation playing it.

I love how they will tout the results of these studies as loud as possible, but never actually link to it. It seems as if they've just taken the results from 9 other studies and put them together for a conclusion.

Stupid Steam news showing me month-old video game news just because I haven't logged in for awhile. ~.~

I got it mixed up in my head with Torchlight II. My bad.

Suddenly games with no automatic healing and more than two weapons at once became "old school" shooters.

It was Halo that did that, not CoD.

Got my Fire on Christmas. Rooted it and now it's way more awesome(stupid Amazon trying to force me to register my CC with them just to download free apps).

The first one I got developed a line of dead pixels across the width within two days. I got the second one a couple of days ago and it seems fine.

I love it so much.

I quit reading when all it talked about was how you can't copyright a game idea.

Well, no shit. It's called a patent.

*edit* got to add a big reason for renting was the fact I have a 3d TV. My PC is hooked to the TV but unfortunately ATI are still living in the dark ages and won't pump out stereoscopic.

Have you tried iz3d?

I don't have a 3dtv(yet) but I can get the old anaglyph (red/blue) glasses working with it.

[...] if they convince others to drop DRM then they are creating competition for themselves. Right now they have almost a monopoly on DRM-free games, they should (by business logic) be working to protect that, not spread it.[...]

They also need to draw in products they don't have. If a company decides they don't want to have DRM-free versions of their games in the marketplace, that's revenue GOG can't pull from.

Then I was all, "wow...that was totally and completely depressing. I hope he doesn't end up living in his car." T.T
