help! I'm surrounded by ut2004 mods |

I've only just started playing RO2 after all the hype (well maybe hype is too strong of a word in this day and age). Quite the different game play from all other ww2 games out there, which is nice.
Still a few bugs with RO that have been plaguing me tho, like my view getting stuck looking into the sky. I'll dig around on their forums and see if others are experiencing this too.
Alien swarm -- very very nice, polished, hard mod, but fun.
Get these 2 if you already haven't -- totally makes ut2004 an even better purchase.

Alien Swarm is very nice indeed -- better than some games I've paid for and this is a free mod! (well, minus the ut2004 purchase).
The biggest problem I have is re-wiring my brain to handle the controls... can't even get past the first mission

It sucks to still have to deal with this disease. I Wish we would focus more government spending on it... perhaps a letter to each of the readers respective congress person...
BMW has a nice relationship with the Komen foundation that nearly every adult can participate in (if they can't donate to some fund -- any fund directly)

Focusing strength, hope, and positive energy your way...

Man, why did ATI go and dig such a hole for itself for me. Back in the 90's their drivers were such crap that I vowed to never buy their product again -- not just your casual vow, mind you. It involved candles, pentagrams, ground up ATI cards, the works...
c'mon NVDA throw us a bone!

It will be interesting to see how this market grows.
I'm not too sure why this came out on the PC, unless it is a test of the free-web-type game to play like a bejeweled/alchemy.
As for the PDA-game arena, it makes sense to do a clone-type game and not waste too much engineering on a market that you don't know the direction of. I mean, you might end up a software distributor, or a development house, or heck -- even end up in firmware or hardware.
To not blow your entire wad on engineering seems smart.

worthless article, but then again, I run it fine to begin with...
Step 1: turn all graphic sliders to zero Step 2: turn all audio sliders to zero Step 3: run at lowest possible resolution
Duh.

I'm funding video game development?!!? |

WTF?
Now, I realize that I'm probably also funding the commercials they show on TV too, but can't my money be used for better things? I'm no defense expert, but surely there are better projects.
Also, where do the profits go? Anyone have more details on this or do I just have to wait until E3?

If you read the article the fee is between $10-$35, which amounts to about 1-4% the cost of a new PC -- not much. That is worth *not* having to drink a nice cool glass of lead in my book.
So, it isn't ridiculous, it is responsible -- or give me your address so we can dump all the computer shit in your (parents) back yard.
Oh, and unless you just go outside and drop a "Cleveland steamer" in your (parents) lawn, you're already paying a sewage tax for that Burger King value meal #2, supersized.
One other thing... I just couldn't help but chuckle at the name of the bill -- "The Romero legislation..." hehe he's everywhere! :p

"This person will be responsible for working closely with PC hardware vendors to integrate their device drivers into a new broadband delivery system being developed by Valve."
WTH is Valve doing with device drivers?
