Just bought a new mouse myself. Went from a G9x to a CM Spawn (one of the thumb buttons was dying). These Corsair mice have the same sensor as the G9x I believe, which means they have inherent negative acceleration, so buyer beware. Only issue I'm having with the new one is avoiding pressing middle mouse when I want to scroll. I'm used to the stupidly stiff wheel of the old mouse I guess.
I've talked to other people who still use wired mice and 9/10 times its more of a psychological thing with them. I suppose I can understand that but I still get ticked when ppl claim the accuracy issue is still significant, which it isn't.
Seph, I'm mostly wired as well, not because of any other reason that my router etc still works and Im a cheapskate :). I just go through mice pretty often which is why Im wireless in that area. |

The brilliance of MS. They had the lead OS on PC's along with two gens of gaming consoles and only now, towards the end of 2nd gen are they talking about ways to get both to complement the other in a meaningful way.
I hope none of the suits up in Redmond are scratching their bloated heads wondering why they are losing ground by large percentages each year to other companies. |

| I'm sure Starbreeze will do justice to the game but the title will have the same issue that games like Shadowrun faced.....they insist on tagging the game as a defacto sequel rather than use the IP as a starting point to expanding the scope of the original while leaving open the possibility of doing a proper follow up. Simply putting "a Syndicate Universe Game" would make a LOT of folks more open to whats being done. Unfortunately, like FASA not being open to another naming convention to placate the hardcore may very well kill the studio. |

I don't see the problem here as long as the matches are on maps designed for a lower number of players.
I'm not sure why people think bigger always = better. |

| want to make profitable games? Don't go public. Don't answer to shareholders. Stop paying management far more money than those who do the actual work. Put managements offices in the same room as the work being done. Once you start building washrooms that are management only you are wasting money on a system of elitist assholes who are being paid far more than they're worth. Management shouldn't be above washing toilets or fetching coffee. In the end, a room full of management can't make anything other than paperwork. A studio full of artists, coders etc can organize enough to get a game made. |

The bot hitting the divider at 1:33 seems to be a sort of derogatory callback to Homefront and Frontlines (Kaos).
Anyhoo, I'm amazed at the level of visual fidelity the game has over Frostbite 1 tech. BC2 was a fun game but online the visuals looked even more dated than BF2. |

Logic has a very simple answer to that. No other digital distributor is financially secure enough to deal with the consequences of losing major EA franchises.
If Valve is really planning on holding their ground on this matter, then they're either hoping that EA will see clear results in terms of loss of sales from not having the game on Steam, or they're betting that they'll make more money from the companies that do cooperate than they'll lose from EA walking away.
It's a matter of creating a precedent. If EA sells their DLC without giving Steam a cut and there are no reprecussions, then other companies will follow suit and Steam could stand to lose a lot more revenue than just what they make off of EA products.
Think for a moment of Activision. CoD map packs are routinely at the top of the Steam sales charts for weeks. If those went to in-game sales that give Steam no cut... then how much of a loss is that alone, not even thinking about the masses of other DLC ridden games out there?
