One thing about the game they did right was to ditch the tedious crafting and needlessly complicated menu UI from FarCry 3.
Overall I enjoyed blood dragon a lot more than FC3 itself. |

| This is really unfortunate. Section 8 was a solid, well balanced (for the most part), multiplayer game. |

From statements by him and his wife, they appear to have basically lost pretty much their entire fortune on this deal. While he's still making a nice salary by being on Baseball Tonight for ESPN, and there's no need to feel sorry for him, I do find the idea that they're now trying to pin criminal actions on him to be fucking disgusting.
The stories of his financial losses have been called into question. Im sure he got hit hard but depending on which story you read its all pretty vague.
What IS know about Schilling thats been backed by individuals who have done projects with him (sports memorabilia dealers, etc) he is described as a difficult person to work with (another quote "a real prick"). Not sure if that played into this but Im sure it didnt help |

I live in RI. Allen Dershowitz once claimed it to be the most corrupt states in the union. While there WAS a rush on their due dilligence when they were trying to bring 38 studios in, there HAS been some questionable financial machinations on the part of the company's end as well.
I think we'll find that there will be plenty of blame to go around once its settled. |

I was hoping for an updated version of MPBT:3025. This shit has gotten way to complex and tedious.
hell, i thought the guys who did Chromehounds MP did a fine job of balancing A SIM-feel with a meta game and marketplace.
I was one of the biggest MW fans out there but after playing MWO for several days I lost all interest. The tiny cramped maps, the confusing UI just turned me off. It made kind of wish Crytek had invested some money into the MW IP and worked with the Living Legends guys to come up with a MP game that one wouldnt mind spending a few bucks on microtransactions but still felt like a traditional MW online game. |

They days of selling a game on its graphics alone is long gone.
to be honest I stop noticing this level of rendering 5 minutes into a game. from then on it needs to stand on its own. Current graphics tech is more than adequate. Enough with the tactical FPS shit. theres plenty out there. |

every Logitech mouse does the dbl-click thing after extended use. take it apart and you'll see that the little bar that depresses the actuator button is made of the same soft plastic the rest of the mouse is. After a time it will become squashed and misshapened just enough that it will no longer firmly 'click" the actuator causing a double-click.
If you are careful not to destroy the teflon pads to access the screws that hold the mouse together, you can usually reshape that little bar with a little manipulating (heat helps). You can also use thin plastic and superglue to fashion a new surface that can lay over the old bar.
or you can just buy a new mouse.....  |

same horseshit was being spread about Tribes: Ascend. It usually turned out to some asshole who never played the game and/or can't comprehend that F2P is a totally viable (and, IMO, much less expensive) business model. Are there "pay-to-win" games out there? No doubt. but you should probably try it out before yelling this tired reactionary cliche every time a F2P game is announced. |

The first game and the expansion are really the only ones worth playing as far as single player goes. The MP used to be populated by pro level quake players who would mop up anyone who wasn't playing at a tournament level.
Painkiller was/is a textbook case on why allowing white collar tools to control development has caused talented developers to run to sources like kickstarter rather than be beholden to Gods chosen for financing. |

| 1k as a price point is way too high for this idea to impact current console gaming. I love the idea of the system as it stands on its own but unless Valve can somehow subsidize the 7a spec system (the company's gaming top of the line model) to less than half of what Xi3 is asking then I dont see much hope for success here. |
