I really enjoyed it.

I really wish I could understand what people see in it but most of the time when I ask people just say "it was fun" and nothing else. Brad Pitt plays a poorly emotive everyman insert who is somehow adaptable to every situation he faces, tromps around the globe to a bunch of set pieces to essentially accomplish nothing but a Pepsi product placement until the last minute. There are essentially no other characters, I struggle to even remember a single name of another character outside of the lead. The virus makes no sense at all, turning people into flying monsters with an incubation time of seconds and yet somehow they conveniently change from intelligent/fast to dumb/slow whenever the plot requires it. I couldn't even turn off my brain and just enjoy the spectacle because its a PG-13 film where everything happens offscreen between dizzying shakeycam jumpshots.

I'm not a big zombie movie buff and I didn't particularly care for the Max Brooks novels but I can't imagine what people saw in this, it seems to combine all of the worst aspects of several genres.

I actually thought Crystal Skull would have been fine if they hadn't included Shia Lebeouf and found a decent script. Harrison Ford did alright with the role despite his age. The fridge thing at the beginning is vintage Indiana Jones, no clue why that offended so many people.
