PS4's use dev kits which run off computers so they already have PS4 controllers running on PCs just fine, tho they would probably need to do the same thing to the drivers and software that Microsoft is doing now to get it to work with PC games.

For all the outrage of "E3 WAS ON PCs!" it's like people don't understand the difference between running something specifically designed for the controller and running something designed long before the controller existed.

Not sure how involved making the drivers would be, but the E3 argument is ludicrous. E3 demos are held together with duct tape and wires. Some hardware working in that one, tightly controlled environment is in no way indicative of that hardware functioning out in the wild.
