That's true but so far it's only when using US services. Ie, if you use hotmail, your shit gets snooped. Don't want it snooped, don't use hotmail. Don't use Skydrive.

While I have no doubt that the NSA would love to be able to snoop everything, they can't force a non-US entity to cooperate, like they have been doing with Google, MS, etc.

And if we won't fix it they will, reading many human/consumer right articles, the EU is way ahead of us now in reinforcing it and penalizing those ignoring it. To be honest I rate "freedom" based on those things and as it saddens me, I find us in general brainwashed into thinking we still lead in these areas. We are falling well behind, to me that is the only thing that made us great, once upon a time.

Yeah, we don't lead in shit anymore. Except maybe "money spent on bullshit."
