The trouble with that strategy is that its a low profit margin area where even a majority marketshare is a dubious long term goal. Most of these companies are built on infinite growth markets and even globally we're now seeing that's simply not the case, there absolutely are ceilings.
I can't say I'm frothing at the mouth to run out and get a touch device either, even if it is a combo laptop or etc. The usage cases for upgrading are minimal right now and uptake on Microsofts ecosystem is seemingly nonexistent.
