Yes big fan of Jesper (since the Amiga days) and I think people often underestimate the importance of music in gaming and how it can evoke that extra layer of atmosphere. I did finish it btw - and i'm still glad that I did. Despite all I said it was enough of an AC game to keep me going - it's just that at times (for the reasons listed) I wanted it to be 'more'.
