As long as the majority of gamers ONLY buy the latest thing because its a) a shooter and b) for its graphics, such as the latest CoD for $60 (usually on consoles), it won't change. Fortunately there's a healthy minority buying things like indie games. If people didn't buy things like that, we would be stuck with recycled mega millions crap like CoD.
