I found Diablo 3 to be a competent but ultimately bland gaming experience. They ticked all the right boxes but forgot to include the magical Blizzard polish and it didn't seem like they grasped what people liked about the previous games. It's a new generation of gamer and that includes designers, they are going to make mistakes and disagree with us older chaps about what makes a game fun. Being fair to Blizzard, I do have friends who really enjoyed it, they really don't play it anymore but I guess you don't need to obsessively play every game for 500 hours to have truly enjoyed it.
