Quite the contrary, violent crime has seen a massive reduction over the past 20 years while video games (most of them violent) have seen a massive increase in popularity and usage. Now this is correlation, not causation, and there are other possible causes for the crime reduction (less exposure to lead, higher incarceration rates, etc). But clearly, even if *some* (not all) evidence shows that video games create a bit of short term aggression in players, this clearly isn't resulting in violent crime.
