If you look at everything Notch has done, it's been fairly derivative and he seems to fall apart when it comes to adding original design to the product. Minecraft is the perfect example of that, it's a series of half finished ideas and clumsily executed designs.
So while I enjoyed Minecraft for what it was, it's not exactly the kind of design I want others to necessarily aspire to. |
