I would think that is 100% intentionally. This pose instantly registered for me as GITS (hence I got a gits vibe). They prolly did that because nearly nobody knows of Cyberpunk 2020.. especially "younger" gamers (born 80ies to 90ies) are much more likely to think GITS when they hear cyberpunk (heck, GITS basically defined cyberpunk for me and is the only reason I love this subgenre)...
Heck, there are many who think GITS (the first movie, and the 2 stand alone complexes) are the best cyberpunk there is. There many for whom cyberpunk is DEFINED by what GITS movie 1 put on the table. They would be insane to make a cyberpunk game trailer and not have some GITS references. ^^ |
