There's a good laugh for ya.
It's also patently false. The Department of the Treasury is responsible for the nation's financial infrastructure. The Secret Service is part of the Treasury, (because well, that's where they've always been,) and so they will investigate issues to do with counterfitting and other matters where law enforcement might be required.
The secret service is not the sole caretaker of the nation's financial infrastructure, however.
