Yeah that alcoholic guy with the alcoholic parents who died when he was a kid whose wife and child were murdered and then his lover/assassin was killed when she refused to kill him. He got revenge. And then his life was meant to be super meaningful. So he tried to force it getting involved in something he shouldn't care about... to save his soul or something.
