For me, it's about being entertained and not feeling like the developers completely forgot how to actually make a game work on a PC. I always thought Saints Row the Third was just a GTA knock off until I was gifted the game on Steam. Holy hell did I put a lot of time into that game after I installed it. So very entertaining and as you said the humor of the game is insane.
