I used to think the same thing but honestly, a potential Steam video library function could never rival something like XBMC and there are already Netflix apps available. I think they should just partner up with some of the XBMC team and do up a little STB based on XBMCBuntu or something. That might be the reason for all of the Linux port stuff, who knows!
