CoH is hands-down my favourite RTS of all time, and Relic would be my favourite RTS developer as well (Homeworld, Dawn of War (original, not the second), Company of Heroes).
CoH is/was beautiful for its day and has great audio, but the gameplay is really something else. Terrain/building deformation, the cover system, strategic points/resource system. No silly squad of Marines using rifles to kill armor in this game. It all came together very well and I had some of my most epic RTS matches in CoH. I enjoyed the campaign as well actually.
Also, the community has fleshed out AI improvement mods that are worth checking out on the official forums if/when you want more of a challenge.
Can't say enough about it, definitely a game to check out if you haven't. |
