I've been playing again recently and they've done a lot since the comically disastrous launch period. Classes have more than a few builds that are effective. Monster Power lets you up the challenge level. Inferno is no longer untested absurdity.
Game still has issues though:
- Yellow is the new blue. You get tons of rares but as usual most of them are trash. The ratio of potentially useful drops to overall drops is still bad. I have no idea how they keep fucking this up, it shouldn't take a month of grinding to find an upgrade at max level.
- Not enough sets and uniques. How is this still an issue? MAKE A LOT OF THEM. I had my first uniques and sets at level 10 in Diablo 2. I want to be drowning in good items to make compelling choices from, not waiting for a diamond in a pile of pigshit.
- Random events and physics traps are still terrible. The traps are entirely worthless and dev time should never have been wasted on them. There aren't enough random events in the game and the few that exist are oddly dispersed through the game. |
