I'm right there with you, and I've read more of it than I have watched. Amazingly I haven't watched Firefly. Many have told me I should, but I never got around to it, and now I figure there is no way it can match the build up -- so my desire to watch it is lessened.

I'm embarrassed that I forgot to mention Firefly, which is easily one of my favourite sci-fi series. And the movie, Serenity was superb - easily better than the Star Wars prequels. Honestly, it's essential watching for anyone interested in sci-fi.

Same for me, actually. The production quality was excellent considering it had a fraction of the budget that the Star Wars prequels did.
