I understand that. I would be a part of it (I don't particularly like CoD) but, well, it is what people want. Those millions of people buying this haven't been brainwashed into liking it, they actually do like it. If millions of people like CoD and only several thousands like Faster Than Light, then I think CoD and its ilk deserve their success, or at least aren't to blame for it.

It seems arrogant to assume my own taste is somehow superior and that publishers should disproportionately consider my opinions. Market forces won't create the perfect game for anyone, never mind everyone, but it will tend to treat people fairly. People have voted with their wallets and they've voted for CoD.
