I am not a big Intel fan, but it has to be obvious to anyone the huge lead they have in processing power. Really, Intel is more energy efficient per watt than ARM chips are at workload. The only place where ARM beats Intel is at idle, where both Intel and AMD are catching up very quickly. Some stuff here and here on it.
I don't see ARM for a gaming based PC anytime soon, it's kind of like cyrix chips back in the 90's, they were for everyone who wanted a simple PC on the cheap. |
