I'd rather prefer somebody who could bring some more adult and dark tone to Star Wars. More character driven drama. Chris Nolan (Prestige, Inception, Insomina, the Dark Knight movies), or David Fincher (Se7en, Fight Club), or Alex Proyas (I, Robot, Dark City). But this won't happen, because the Neckless Beard won't allow any director he couldn't completely control to come near his (yes, STILL his) Star Wars. I've just watched an interview with Darth Luca$ and Kathleen Kennedy, and Luca$ is still in control of everything. Most likely we'll end up with Rob Cohen or Brett Ratner as a director under Lucas' control. |
