There 2 first person shooting sections though. And at least the one in the school was extremely, EXTREMELY daft. Like how the hell did these zombies GET IN? How did shooting a gun not lure more in, and the entire episode was written like a bad comedy, I mean that guy just taking that axe from the door? The church ringing and nobody getting instantly the hell of the street? The death of the homeless dude? That was so cliche that I was stunned at the daftness of the whole situation.
Whats the point of making a moody zombie adventure when you get guns that you can first person shoot? (I mean, if you played a FPS in your life, these sections are absolutely mundane and 0 effort) but who is playing whom here? Isn't this supposed to be a story about the character we are playing? First person shooting has imo no place in that (the stairs were different, there we clearly did not control the aim as such directly, only the firing and movement).
Imo since Episode 3 this entire thing has taken a dive. We got more characters that are completely 1 dimensional and that nobody cares about. Instead of meaty stuff about the CLEM / Ken / and whatever our own character name is |
