Is it still a randomized gun, I wonder, or a static drop? And if I have the 10K now, should I give it now, or does the weapon scale to my level, meaning I shouldn't give the money until immediately before that fight (or as high level as I can get).

SMGs are the shit no matter what. I find myself reverting to my BL1 playstyle of carrying all SMGs of diff types. Fire, Acid, Electric, and a shotty. SMGs fire so fast you can take down anything like a hot knife through butta....
