Don't get me wrong, there's definitely greed on both sides...but I wouldn't be happy taking a huge paycut just because the owners screwed up on the last CBA. In the end, the fans are the only ones worth feeling sorry for. Edit: not to mention the increase in average ticket prices they promised wouldn't happen during the last CBA negotiation (terrible around me, for sure), and the huge pay increase Bettman's seen since the last CBA.
