That they piss off every single fan (and thus every single person who buys the stupidly overpriced "limited editions" of their games) in the process is something that never, EVER occurs to them.
Hopefully, however, there is someone still left at Bioware who doesn't listen to Muzyka's bleating, and who realizes that literally every single person at EA is a fucking moron, that has the influence to say "We need to make a great game, even if it takes two years longer."
It's not always the case, but for Bioware it definitely seems to be: Longer development time = better game.
