When the character is Shepard, the voiced protagonist works great. When it's Hawke it sucks balls. Not sure how much of that had to do with voice actors or just poor writing... (edit: Looking at the voice actors, I'm going to say it was the writing, as they are both very experienced actors.)
Maybe for DA3, they can let George Lucas write the dialogue! "Are you an angel?" *watches nin explode* :p
